Welcome to W, a Washington D.C. hotel beyond expectations. Next to the White House, the most powerful suits - pinstripes and black lace-rendezvous at W Washington D.C., where Italian Renaissance meets modern cool.
POV rooftop bar great if you can get a seat ..
It's way too dark in the lobbies. Not sure what effect they are attempting to achieve. Maybe they want to be the "it" place for having an "on the side" meeting
get on the mailing list. lots of fun, free events here.
One of the most stunning W hotels we have stayed in! No cool pool running through it, but the historic value is there. Very well kept & staff is friendly!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Head to the rooftop and enjoy the view and upscale atmosphere. More fun when it's warm out, but it's still a wonderful atmosphere (and heated) during fall/winter!
Head to the roof and enjoy the cocktails/views. Better in the warmer months, but it's still a nice (and heated) view during the other times of the year. Try the Marion Berry ;)
Restrooms are towards the back in the "library" area.
Corner suites for views
At very least get a spectacular room w/ exterior view. Great location. Downstairs always filled with people. Staff mostly friendly, helpful. Biz center was a bummer while I was there👎 No paper 2x!!😒
The rooftop views are incredible especially at night. It gets a little crowed at night but the atmosphere is very urban chic. The rooms are small but the location is great.
One of the best rooftops in DC
Awesome rooftop bar, one of the best places for a drink near the White House
Not a fan. Specify you don't want a room looking out onto another brick building. Our room looked like a sex den in the worst way, bed backlit in red light, the bathroom was bigger than the room.
JG is a Jean George restaurant. Very good burger.
Horrid if staying here as a guest. The rooms are nice but the hotel customer service is dreadful, they charge you for everylast thing and they failed misserably in making the guest feel special.
This is swanky stuff. Dress properly if you plan on going to the rooftop! They kick out flip flop wearers.
If you like a quiet room ask for the "42" series. Bigger baths and rooms, no view but super quiet and roomy.
Beautiful place and great for a date
The view from the suites are amazing. In the heart of DC
Visit Clay at the rooftop bar. He's amazing! Visit is in nyc clay!! Starwood! Woot!
They only like the upper class people....great in every way except service...its awful if youre not Paris Hilton.
The rooms are small but the service is more than adequate and the rooftop offers a really cool view of DC and northern Virginia
The spot where we photographed are Winter 2012 lookbook, act like you know!
Here's a tip for the hotel. Clean the rooms daily. They made the bed but left crumbs and empty bottles and water
Bathrooms are located on the lower level. Good place to stop if you're sightseeing and need a place to rest.
Horrendous service at this hotel. The rooftop is overrated. The gym stinks. The wifi in both: rooms and common areas is abysmal. The cider in the lobby is soothing, however
Great Hotel. Try to get upgraded to a corner suite!
Right in the heart of some of the best sight seeing in DC - literally across the street from White House!
The rooftop bar is amazing.
The au pair is strong and yummy. Pair it w the fritters!
With a sceney rooftop lounge overlooking the White House, the W brand managed to inject nightclub-meets-Wonderland flair into what had been a lackluster hotel.
Great views of the monument and surrounding areas!
Don't forget to taste Hot Apple Cider here.
The brunch is really good here.
Love the view and the bar scene is amazing over looking the whitehouse
As someone said, at the downstairs wine bar, service service is either clueless or apathetic but probably both.
Hang out at the rooftop lounge if you're able to handle the loud music. DO NOT stay in the hotel. I regret my decision to stay here for 2 nights. I only got disappointment after disappointment.
The music from the rooftop lounge is so damn loud you wouldn't be able to rest well.
try the chicken club!!!
On June 13, 2012, President Obama held a fundraiser here for the Obama Victory Fund. Get your wonk on at
Rooftop terrace - awesome views - cold drinks
Per the manager "you cannot use the stairs". Elevators hold 5 people. Be prepared to wait a long time!
Skip the cab, take an Uber, 1st class sedan car service. Download the app on your smartphone, or go 2 m.uber.com, and use invite code "yiy5a" to save $10 off your 1st ride.
If only the service matched the beautiful property. I can't decide if the staff is clueless, indifferent, or both
Place gets pretty happenin' on Friday and Sat nights
If you're hungry in the middle of the night, you can grab a quick bite at the Hamilton across the street
