Get here by 10am to find parking
It's hard to find a good place to swim without the high waves in Oahu, but this bay is really nice. Get here by 10 for a parking spot and brave the surf to have a great day here.
I loved to swim here in the summer. The waster was cool, no waves and really nice :)
It's a very nice beach, but the waves are huge. Maybe not the best place for kids to swim. The lifeguard even announced it over a loud speaker.
A lot of people in the water, and then some jumping off the rock. Wide beach with coarse sand, very good amenities and parking
Famous for big waves in the right conditions, it's also a great family spot. If you're brave enough, climb the big rock (left side) and jump off into the warm north shore water.
Parking is a b.... be ready to walk!
A busy beach, yet so worth it. Careful pulling into the parking lot, it can be a sharp turn. Get here early to find parking and a great beach spot. Family friendly and life guards are stationed here.
Jump off the rocks!
Be sure to jump off of the 30 ft cliff!
Perfect for a beach day! Shore breaks, cliff jumping and climbing. All located in a scenic bay with beautiful view.
Beautiful beach, very hard to find parking. Also great for little kids
Get there real early. Traffic is bad along with parking
Have fun and enjoy the workout
Waves to big, great for surfers but not for swimming.
Legendary surfer and lifeguard Eddie Aikau patrolled the waters at Waimea Bay starting in 1968. Not a single life was lost while he was on duty, sometimes braving waves over 30 feet tall.
it was beautiful here!
Dolphins! But be respectful, just let them be.
Drive up and park at the St Peter & Paul Church for $5 if you can't find parking... which is usually the case.
If you don't mind walking, park just off the main road on the street instead of fighting for parking in the tiny lot
Beautiful place :))) there is a rock for dive :))) and u can swim with turtles :)))
Climb to the top of the rock for some cliff jumping fun!
Park by William's place LOL
My Auntie Maile used to jump off this to get the coral near the bottom. Used to be legal back then, =)
Park at Waimea Valley if you're coming to watch the waves. $5 saves you some parking stress.
Wait to a wave and jump on it. Just did it! Amazing !
Visit the Falls!! Such a tranquil place...Darren the guard is the sweetest ever...:)
Parking in the lot can be difficult. I usually park on the highway. My favorite beach on the island.
Snorkeling to the far right of beach amazing fish to see
I see cats, chickens, and a person that probably lives in the bushes near the cats and chickens. Never expected to find this combination (at a beach park)...
If you go on the right day, you might see Rusty the dog jump with you!
Beautiful beach. Sadly have been hit on by too many bros and losers. Not nearly as peaceful as other beaches.
My favorite beach on the entire island. Jump off the rock!
Beautiful, not much parking though we had to walk really far
Great swimming in the summer, surfing in the winter. Big beach. Lots of room..and the famous jumping rock - you gotta do it!
One of the most beautiful places on the island. Rainbow here above the mountains..
The fish tacos at Luibueno's are THE BOMB!!
Really nice beach, nicest I've seen in Hawaii yet.
Free parking in the valley, upriver.
Beautiful sandy beach. The swimming is usually good although there is a steep drop off making bodysurfing a little painful (but still doable)
This is simply AWESOME!!! Nothing to fear... land on your feet and you'll be just fine. The bottom is very soft sand, no rocks. You haven't lived til you've done this!!!
Favorite Beach when the waves are up or down. But love to jump the rocks when the tide is right.
Jump off da rock, boogie board, swim or just sleep and get a tan. Clean facilities, showers, fun to watch the shark bait!
Push someone off the rock!
Tell the fishermen to get bent, I'm trying to swim here without catching a fish hook in the belly
