This venue melts my heart. Have seen various ballets and operas here and have always enjoyed the experience. Last night's nutcracker was magical!

World-class singers. Mephistopheles production was fantastic. They tracked down sets in Turino originally made for a San Francisco production many years ago. It was jaw-dropping awesome.

Beautiful venue. The venue from the balcony is okay if you don't want to splurge on tickets - not the best but there aren't any obstructions (as far as I can tell) so you can see almost everything!

Get here two hours before a show and plenty of street parking. You can get in early at side entrance and eat a nice buffet on the bottom floor.

No Nutcracker hot cocoa for the kids. Hayes Valley cafe après performance is your best bet. The prosecco carts for the adults was a nice touch.

SF Ballet's Nutcracker is a must-see for all ages. Snow-like sud machines + Christmas carolers + graceful little girls in big dresses w/even bigger grins + brilliant artists on stage = Priceless.
