Rapidly aging building; expect faulty fixtures, lacking hot water, etc. Staff are very friendly, but the building itself is not.

This is where Langston Hughes, then a busboy, slipped poet Vachel Lindsay his poems under a dinner plate. Impressed, Lindsay shared Hughes' poems during a reading with a hotel audience that night. Read more

Be wary if you get a room on the second floor. It may feel like a basement with a small window well overlooking a roof.

Rooms are generic and the concierge lounge feels more like a cafeteria for old people. Probably won't be staying here again.

They call the Westchester Hilton the Escher Hilton... this place runs a close second for varying levels and hallway connections-eerie! I bet it was once several buildings, now joined.

Difficult to find on line. It's not listed with DC hotels. Great location on the red line. Near DuPont Circle and the National Zoo. Nice hotel with a pub, restaurant and comfy bar/lounge.

Apparently the staff isn't allowed to tell people visiting guests where the hotel rooms are located. At all. Even though this place is a giant maze.

This is a unionized hotel. Your stay will support good union jobs with employees that make a living wage, and don't get replaced by minimum wage workers every year as is common with Hyatt hotels.

Had a lovely four night stay. I have gold elite status and was upgraded to a suite and didn't have to ask. Friendly and helpful staff. If you have elite status Internet is free and worked great.
