Very scenic, probably one of the best spots in DC. Lots of history, and often the center of protests, political movements and activity. Near lots of fun and entertaining things to do.

When people say, "get there early," they mean it. Arrived 30 min early (in early May) and there were already 40 people in line. Only waited 7 min to get to the front but it's low tourism season.
