Westfield Stratford City is a shopping centre in Stratford, London, owned by the Westfield Group. The centre opened on 13 September 2011. With a total retail floor area of 1,883,700 square feet (175,000 m2), it is one of the largest urban shopping centres in Europe.
Architecturally, Westfield Stratford is disappointing. It is just like one giant Brent Cross. The Westfield in Shepherds Bush is far classier but I prefer the good old high street.
Crowd control in place! This place is way too busy...
Too busy. My tip is: avoid it.
Too many people...prefer the Shepherd's Bush one!
Manners. Learn some.
Avoid lower ground floor ! People just coming to eat cheap food and shop at PRimark . Avoid
If you come here by choice you must be insane.
When feeding Ducks in the park soak your bread in Rohypnol. That way you get a free dinner, and you can do what you like to it before you pluck it.
Don't come here on a Saturday if you value your sanity.
London's greatest mall. Watch out because during the weekends the place is really overcrowded. If you want to grab something to eat, try "Olive Oil & Oregano" (delicious Greek souvlaki).
Prefer Shepherds Bush. Although this one does have a KFC.
Why is this the biggest? The White City Westfield looked bigger to me by the number of shops..don't care how big is the parking or how many offices they have:-|
Too many people - most of them buying nothing, visiting McDonalds or Primark only. So far only one stabbing and a few stampedes.
Incredible consumerist heaven-type place. Biggest shopping centre in Europe as of now (13th Sept 2011) - buy stuff!
Go round round in circles picking up free pretzels every time.
World food court is more civilised than the lower food court.
A bit of a shithole
I prefer Westfield Shepherd's Bush.
Christmas tip: Keep the receipt! If there is a problem with the gift and it needs to be returned; the shop will usually want to see the receipt to prove that it was bought at that store.
Rammed full with people praying at the alter of consumerism.
Very busy on a Sunday
Go for the pretzels
Head for the food court. Plenty of places worth trying... Also check out Great Eastern Market on the lower ground floor (near Stratford Int station). Grind Coffee Bar is there - best coffee here.
Go early. We went at 11am on a Saturday and it was dead quiet. By 1pm it was heaving
Check out the viewing platform for the Olympic park.
biggest and coolest shopping mall in europe, you can find almost everything here :)
Absolutely jam packed. Lifts are a disaster. And it is not even Xmas shopping rush yet! yuck :( Westfield you obviously miss-planned that branch if you are outgrowing your capacity in a soft launch.
Lots to do. Can get reaaally busy but I love the world food court on the upper floor - yummy pho! There are couches and seats around the mall to rest / feed babies / watch people.
So happy that has Primark and KFC but most of the people go there just for those two. AVOID! You're not gonna enjoy your shopping there..
Biggest mall of Europe. You can find a Victoria's Secret shop and a Primark. Shop as well at 21 forever.
Great store to shop :)
Over priced Temple to Mammon, food and drink are a rip off, parking charges no thank you Bluewater and Lakeside are far better!
Very Busy Mall!
Just like all other shopping centres. Don't come here at 9am... Very CLOSED!
"OMG so crowded" "people have no manners" read these reviews and watch British elitism at its best. Yeah, eff off and go wander the empty corridors at Shepperds Bush along the other yummy mummies. :)
Love the new helipad, just flew in to pick up some milk.
NEVER ever go here, it is my definition of hell!!!
Scary, scary place.
Not as good as Westfield Shepherds Bush but at least it's got a Greggs!
So many choices of restaurants it's amazing!
Food court on the first floor is well worth a visit for sheer variety of cuisine
More crowded than an Irish pub on St Patrick's day.
Not a bad place. Good shops an stuff. Gets busy as you'd expect on weekends. Will be interesting to see what they do with Westfield Croydon.
You can often get vouchers for cheap food and other offers from the information desk
Really great place for spending free time and shopping. About 300 shops, wide list of restaurants. Everyone will find something interesting. Also you can charge your phone and use Wi-Fi for free.
Much better than the West London one which feels like you're trapped in a cube. Even when the Stratford one is busy, it doesn't feel too hideous.
Primark so busy like always :(
Crowded as hell
