Trust the staff buy a beer on their rec. They never go wrong with suggestions.
Do not whip it out at the Whip-In.
Located along the frontage road of IH-35 like any respectable convenience store would be, the Whip Inn epitomizes the true eclectic nature of Austin and is a perfect example of what makes this town sp
We're in love with this convenience store that has 60 beers on tap and an Indian food menu. Try the queso con chutney and a Monk's ale for a unique Austin treat.
Don't be fooled by the exterior! The indian food here is kind of amazing! Also, a gourmet grocery of sorts!
The Silly Cheesesteak Panaani is where the quesadilla, roti roll, and cheesesteak intersect—and how could you go wrong with that?
This place is awesome. Best time is right before 5. If you get caught in traffic before oltorf take the woodward exit and skip the traffic.
Their queso tops the list!
No tips needed...if you live in Austin...you already know..and if not, oh well. ;-)
The Barton Springs panaani is to die for.
Be sure to get Austin Amber beer. So amazing!
WHIP IN. WHIP IN GOOD.
One of the largest selections of bottled beers in Austin -- and surprisingly good Indian food for a convenience store.
60 draughts available!
Try the beef and beer curry chili if it's on special. Amazing!
Try the non-alcoholic herb infused Buddhas Brew Kombucha. Blueberry I'd my fave; almost psychedelic.
To work here, you must be an asshole. You need to treat customers like shit and smirk when they ask questions. Helluva business model!
Everything about this place is so SAT style(south Austin Texas) the food rocks the staff is too cool and the beer oh dear the beer. Highly suggest a growler. Only one drawback they close at midnight.
$3 draft special everyday mofugga
Got stood up here and haven't forgotten about it.
Happy hour and bottles of magic hat!
Don't be deceived by the exterior and chow down on the lamb naan panini @ Whip In (made with locally-grown lamb). Top it off with a chai or awesome beer.
Indian food. Great wine and beer selection. Vegan and gluten-free options.
Super cool spot! Not a whole lot of GF options but the Zambian Corn rice bowl was awesome!!
The food is good, but the staff is uninformative and dickish.
Go here. Order a beer from their long list of drafts. Keep it Weird.
Biggest selection of beer on tap in Austin.
The chana masala is deliciously spicy! Also the hand cut spicy fries are always hot and crisp. HUGE selection of beer and wines to pair with your meal, or just to sip alone on a hot Austin day.
Follow this place on twitter or facebook to find out when limited release brews travel through.
Nice beer selection... mmm, Nut Brown Ale.
Goat sliders are awesome, finding a place to sit is not awesome. Local beers through the roof though
Whip in is amazing with great food and a great beer and wine selection. Try the goat sliders! So good.
Get a triple bowl.
The chicken special was huge and just as spicy as I like it. Huge value for $10, not to mention the epic beer list!
Try Pecan Porter Cupcake, yum!
Goat sliders are bomb
Great beer selection and super tasty food. Fruit pie was amazing.
Great beer, food and a super laid-back, cool vibe! Good show this weekend as noted to the right, with Frederick, Tahoma and Madeline Jennings.
One of my favorite places in Austin. If you like good Indian-fusion food, awesome beer and wine, and a sophisticated dive bar atmosphere, this is your place. I can never leave ATX without a stop here.
Not sure if there is a better Indian food & craft beer spot in the country.
Insane beer selection. Their inside setup recently changed. Wine bar here as well.
For brunch - they have a nice twist on migas - collard greens and quinoa grits were good too.
Quinoa cheese grits (and the tap selection) are insanely good.
Not sure if this is a bar, convenience store or an Indian food restaurant, but it's pretty cool.
Great beers on tap at great prices, decent food (hippy Indian)
Try their Namaste beers, which have recently earned a lawsuit courtesy of Dogfish Head.
