People tend to check in during these times:
"The Willis Tower used to be known as The Sears Tower. They changed the name after people kept showing up in the lobby trying to buy washing machine and ratchet sets." - Conan O'Brien
formerly the Sears Tower....will always be Sears Tower to me.
go to willis tower and check out the glass balconies!
Check for Ferris Bueller here.
Go to the Willis Tower (It will always be the Sears Tower to me!), walk out on the new glass ledges and feel your heart skip a beat! Buy tickets online to avoid the lines.
What you talking about Willis?
Cough cough Sears Tower cough cough
go towards the end of the evening on a weekday: we were there 830p on a thursday and there were no lines. as scary as it is, standing out in the glass ledge makes for a great photo, esp at night
Just like Sox Park will always be Sox Park this will always be the Sears Tower. Welcome and enjoy the View!
What you talking about Willis? Sears Tower will remain... FOREVER!!!
Sorry, but this will always be The Sears Tower to me. The Ledge is cool though
I stood on the walkout see through deck on the new Willis Tower
Incredible views of Chicago from the top of the nation’s tallest building.
Awesome building. A must see for anyone.
The tallest building in the U.S. at 110 stories, the former Sears Tower was the tallest building in the world until 2008. – Green Guide Editor
It is called the Sears Tower!
Go to the Sears Tower (real Chicagoans will ALWAYS call it that) and go up to The Ledge on the 103rd floor and get a fantastic photo taken by an awesome employee from Photogenic!
Try Market Creations on the 2nd floor up the escalator, it's a reasonably priced buffet and they lots of good food, including some great sushi! Decent window view too.
it's the sears tower. always will be
On a clear day, you can see 4 states from the skydeck at the Willis tower: Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois.
Go to the top, go to the ledge, look straight down, shit your pants...go home, get changed, then go back at night...no metropolis panorama like it
The glass ledge is UNBELIEVABLE! One of the coolest places in Chicago for sure.
Totally worth the wait in line. Fantastic view! Free wifi in most places.
Your dumb if you pay $17.50 to look out of a damn window!
News agencies and tourist info will try to convince you this is the Willis Tower. Any Chicagoan knows better.
Don't think you HAVE to get your souvenirs at the top of the tower. There is a LOT more stuff in the two shops you pass through at the bottom.
There is no "Willis Tower"
Sears sold the building took their resources and money out of downtown and went to suburbs. They should not have naming rights. Willis however, supports the City of Chicago by leasing space here.
go with friends . the ledge is crazy
I think I see my dad.
The site where Ferris Bueller looks down upon the city.
Stand out front and simply look up... breathtaking!
As a native Chicagoan this will always be Sears Tower. Check out observary deck and step onto outer glass for a cool view down
Sufjan Stevens wrote, "In the tower above the earth, There is a view that reaches far, Where we see the universe." He also spelled "Sears" as "Seer's," but who's keeping score?
They should change the name to United Tower
Our office is located in the Sears Tower! We love it!
Nothing beats the view of Chicago than the top of this building!
Willis beats the pants off Sears for the lobby art collection. Also caffeine stations & wifi on 3/4 corners although they close early. The art adds. Quiet enough & stately for informal meetings.
JunoWallet for the iPhone gives you gift cards for bars and restaurants in Chicago and all over the planet...I love it and you will too...
The view from the 103rd floor is breath taking. It's well worth the price of admission. I went late (7:30pm) and saw the twilight skyline and the night view was spectacular.
Cmap is on 8th floor
Great 3d view
If you're going to do only one thing here, please let it be the glass balconies... unless you're terrified of heights. A great view of the city and an excellent photo-op.
It's always colder around this building, umbrellas don't stand a chance when it's raining!
