Windmill Lane Studios, also known as the "U2 studio", is a three-storey music recording studio located in Dublin, Ireland. It is located on Windmill Lane, a small street just south of City Quay and the River Liffey and a little north of Pearse Station. It was opened in 1978.
U2, Spice Girls, Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, REM, Elvis Costello, Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart, The Cranberries, The Fugees, Rolling Stones, Tom Jones, Westlife and many others
Awe inspiring U2-ness.
U2's "Boy", "War" and "October" were recorded here in their entirety. The studios have moved to Ringsend Road, but raise an imaginary Guinness to the lads while you're here.
