    Fantastic place to see red squirrels with a feeder by the car park entrance, and a range of bird and squirrel feeders by the narrow-guage railway station

    I love this place. We need never forget the mining history of the North East. Great place for the kids, with plenty to do. Food is good too.

    When visiting the nearby lake take care near the swans They expect to be fed and aren't shy
