Bahn cuon, the noodle rolls, glisten on a bed of pork pate with mint leaves and carrots scattered on top. The com dia also shine, with the one featuring grilled pork chops, crab cake, and pork skin. Read more

I'm a pho traditionalist- always order pho tai with extra beef on the side. Broth is tasty, hot and just what the doctor ordered. Friendly staff and a quirky vibe make this my go-to pho spot.

Authentic Pho Xe Lua as the soup is the best among other restaurants in NY. Just that there is only 1 slice of tendon, 1 beef ball with few slices of raw beef, brisket, etc. Tasty homemade ginger tea.

Plenty of seating, love their summer rolls-both the shrimp and the grilled pork. Staff always very friendly and accommodating. I come here for lunch often solo since my office is a short walk away.

Obviously get the pho, but also the House Special Appetizer Platter! You can make your own summer rolls with spring rolls, vermicelli, grilled chicken, beef, pork and shrimp!

Pepper shrimp. The waitress didn't understand when I said "regular" spring rolls 3x and brought me veggie spring rolls. Turned out pretty damn good. In the winter get the ginger tea.

Looking for protein with a lot of flavor? Try one of the bò lúc lắc "shaking beef cubes" entrees. You can't beat $6.50 - 7.50 for filet mignon cubes!

Deeeeelicious pho! On a rainy day, split a pot of tea and the grilled pork chops with a friend. Then go nap. Or go back to the courtroom.

The Bbq Chicken Bún (vermicelli bowl) is amazing. Plus, you must get the coconut smoothie for an instant thick tropical flavor in your mouth.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Manhattan. The special appetizer with shrimp grilled on sugarcane is a meal in itself, and a great price. Very nice staff!

I want to order something other than the pork chop, but its just so good that I usually get the pork chop and something else, then eat leftovers for a meal or two...

The portions are generous and the prices are low. Pho is always a safe bet at Xe Lua but my favorite dish here is the Banh Bo Nuong!

NY: "Try the "bun bo hue." Not as good as my dad's, but it will get the job done. It's a spicy beef broth with pork knuckles, served over rice vermicelli, fresh basil and bean sprouts." -IFC's Thu Tra

update: i believe it has changed management -- the food is SO BLAND now, and they don't even list the house special fried rice anymore. but at least the pork chop was still good. won't be coming back.
