Absolutely love!! I've been a few times but always go after 5:30 so you can try the yakitori! Get adventurous! I had chicken hearts and chicken gizzards here for the first time ever! So delicious!
Good late night eats
It was my first time here. It is better to call first and make reservations, could be a long wait! Ramen was definitely good! Try the grilled meat(any)... All good
Beef tongue is the best!
Ramen comes in a bowl so big you could drown in it! Also, two words: fried oysters. Put them in your face right now!
Great lunch specials! No yakitori during lunch hours though.
Wow - step into a little piece of Tokyo when eating at this insanely delicious Yakatori & Ramen house. Try the beef tongue, the Eel wrapped in omelet and the Shoyu Ramen. I can't get enough.
The food is amazing, allow me to say this first. But their service is horrendous. Granted, I will continue to eat here, I just have vastly lowered expectations of service. The wait staff, favors men
Beef. Tongue. Yakitori.
Delicious. Japanese beer steins.
Awesome yakitori, best in South SD! Try the exotic stuff like beef tongue, chicken vein, and gizzards, grilled with teriyaki sauce - trust me, you will NOT be disappointed.
Very traditional and delicious! 10/10!
Smoky and satisfying..... Like a conversation with your great aunt Tallulah.
ramen til midnight every night
Try their beef tongue yakitori. It's beyond delicious. Melts on your....uhhh...tongue. Hehehe
Awesome Ramen! And the fried shumai was phenomenal. Definitely adding this place to the favourites list.
Sign in on the list by the door if you don't have a reservation. The Nagoya ramen broth is chronic, though I could have done w/o the bamboo shoots. I wish they made pork buns!! I'd be 100% sold if so.
Best ramen in San Diego
Highly recommended! Old school yakitori with all the parts you'd want
Legit agedashi tofu!
DELISH! Really good lunch specials for $10!
If you're here by yourself you can choose to get 1 or 2 skewers, price is adjusted.
Get the nagoya bowl with green onions, butter, egg, and BBQ pork belly! Sooooooooooooo good!
Kalye hits of Japan
Everything is good! Reminds me of being back in Japan.
Impeccably grilled meat on sticks, bowls of steaming ramen, plus the beer and sake make this Hillcrest transplant many a chefs' favorite late-night hangout.
They have the best ramen in San Diego!
Buta Bara(BBQ Pork Yakitori) for appetizer and Beef Teriyaki bowl is the best!
Quail eggs with brown sauce
This place gets really crowded, so try to make reservations ahead of time (even if it's when you're walking out the door)!
Soft shell crab!! So amazing!!
Stupid busy in the evening. Don't come here at night if you are expecting to eat right away.
If you call ahead and reserve it beats standing for a hot minute
Go for the ten dollar specials
The small size ramen is indeed small. Snack size.
Try the chicken wings ... No really, they are amazing!!!
I love their spicy miso ramen!!!! :)
You can get free barley tea during happy hour (11am-5:30pm)
They welcome reservations even if it is 15 mins ahead of time! SHIO RAMEN.
They have the best egg!!! :)
Try the chicken wings!!!! They are crunchy and have a glazed honey coating. SOO GOOD!!!
Try the Miso Ramen and then add spicy red sauce for a really awesome Ramen.
Daily combo specials for $10 from 11-3pm. Want a special from another day? Add $2!
If paying the bill w/multiple cards, be sure to double check name on receipts to be signed. Had friend's card charged twice on a visit and it happened again on a different occasion but we caught it.
