High quality, expensive, and very approachable dim sum. Nothing on the carts will freak you out. Be sure to get the soup dumplings and the Peking duck. The Stevenson location is the locals' spot.

Great quick bite for a weekday lunch. Pricey, so check the menu before you order. Shanghai soup dumplings and BBQ pork buns are great.

The food is good. The service is ridiculously good. But it is pricey for dim sum for sure. Expect $35/person.

Their XLB are nearly as good as Din Tai Fung's. All their dishes are a step above most tea houses, you can't go wrong here.

Really good dim sum. Fast service, though they tend to forget if you order something like tea that is not on a cart

I did not expect this high quality of authentic dimsum in SF. I was very satisfied with their Shanghai dumpling and Pork Xiu Mye, and Shrimp dumpling! A little pricey though.

The xiao long bao at Yank Sing are shining examples of the form. Though there are a few great spots to find them in SF, Yank Sing is perhaps the most renowned and the liveliest of them all. Read more

The Xiao Long Bao / Shanghai dumplings are where it's at. Expensive and there may be a wait if you don't go early. The service can be great if you order yourself. Cart service comes in waves.

Bloody expensive for a dim sum joint and busy as hell but definitely the right fix to any Hong Kong nostalgia anyone could harbour in San Francisco.

Their Shanghai soup dumplings are one of the best in town. Lots of vegetarian options. Service could be slow and more expensive than your regular dim sum spots.

So I've never done dim sum before so...that should probably change. One of the pricier spots, but you pay for what you get. The xiao long bao and custard tarts are supposedly A++.

If you're thinking of getting dessert, the coconut cream roll is a must! Also, ask staff if certain items are available, not everything is on the carts.

Ask for what you want, don't just take what comes by. Try the house special dumplings with soup in them. The BBQ pork is excellent in buns or rice wraps. Have fun, try stuff, it's all good
