I come here daily for a latte. At $4.10 for a LG (READ: Starbucks medium), its a little pricey, but so worth every sip. It has redefined the coffee experience for me. Soft, arromatic, delicious.

Yola is closing Friday, September 28th. So sad. I'll miss the yogurt, the coffe that made me fly, the location, the ambiance, the words of wisdom on the blackboard. Be well you guys.

WBJ's Top Shelf says: "Seeing the frozen-yo craze explode in DC, Yola is Washington's first fresh yogurt establishment! Not to mention smoothies with broccoli hidden within! Yum! (WBJ 2/18/11)

This is my favorite place in town, bar none. But then again --full disclosure-- I might not be completely unbiased about it. My nephew's better half Laura is Yola's manager and heart and soul.

French press coffee is a hidden gem, individual or regular 2 person size. Russian tea cookie goes well with it.

Place is huge and looks great inside. I don't usually eat scones, but when I do, I have the ham and cheese scone here.

There's also a back entrance on 18th Street NW, as with the other cafés next door to Yola.

Don't be shy about asking for more fruit/granola in your parfait especially if you get skimpy portions.
