Occupying 17,000 square feet in the heart of Jack London Square, this live music club and upscale Japanese restaurant has been in that location since 1997 and has become one of the East Bay's greatest destinations.
A wonderful Japanese place with great Jazz! -Jonathan Waxman, Top Chef
Go to Yoshi's. Eat sushi and watch jazz.
I love this place including when there's performers. They are normally locals and there's mostly a $10-$15 cover but it's totally worth it.
Great place to end your weekend, especially with Goapele serenading you to a nice glass of wine.
Eat at the restaurant first and they'll let you reserve seats for your show. Even if all you get is appetizers and drinks, you'll still be able to get better seating.
Have dinner first and then go to the 10pm show - You'll have a good chance to sit up front for wonderful jazz artists like Nancy Wilson, DIana Krall and Steve Tyrell
Russet and Sweet Potato French Fries & the Tart
The absolute best shushi. A wonderful night out. Go early, enjoy your meal, then relax in the club listening to the live performance.
The Brussels sprouts are such a great starter that we indulged with a second order. Both our meals were delicious [sea bass and lamb loin].
Try the Crispy Brussel Sprouts - Deilicious. Well cooked. Not over cooked (via @Foodspotting)
Go to Yoshis! Either Oakland or SF ,great experience and some top notch entertainment like CHANTE MOORE!
Chill spot to bring a date, girlfriend or wife. Get Cousy with the artist in this snug friendly environment. A little over 300 capacity. Every seats a good seat.
There is a two drink minimum while at the show
The place is open seating, so if there for a show make sure to make a reservation for dinner before your show - you get preferred (better) seat selection while at dinner.

great & serious jazz venue. the sushi isn't bad either.
Food was really good but, the service was slow. There was a show going on so I'll give them that but, there were a lot of times I was finished with my water and it was awhile before it got refilled.

Jazz for the New Year
Great intimate venue for jazz...the restaurant is very good too.
The sushi is awesome, and are a bit bigger (and pricier) than other sushi places. Naturally busy when there are shows, but service is still top notch. Looking forward to catching a show!
The Crab & Beet salad & Yoshi rolls are too die for! & make sure you catch a world class show in the lounge!
Just had a spicey roll. Umai!
