A true Upper West Side staple--you want it? They've got it! Try any of their specialized sections or if you just want a quick bite you can get your bagel fix next door @ their express counter.
Props for having the big jar of salted capers that no other store wants to carry. Also great stinky, gooey, washed rind cheese section. One of the few groceries in town that does not disappoint.
Great place for expats to find their favourite food from around the world. And don't forget to tell the grumpy cashier it's her turn to wish you "Happy Thanksgiving back" ;)
Known for its bagels, smoked fish, and cheeses, this traditional Jewish specialty food store in the Upper West Side is a local favorite. It can get crowded though so get there early!
Fabulous gourmet food market. The selection of prepared foods, delicacies, coffees, and appetizing are a feast for the eyes and senses . They offer discountedparking across the street.
The regular coffee is fantastic and a bargain: only $1.15 for a 12 oz cup! And if you're hungry for lunch, the turkey panini is a symphony of delicious flavours.
A very nice market south of campus. It's worth a visit, even if just to experience it's cuteness! Great for kitchenitems and utensils on the upper level.
Great deli but could become like a zoo during weekends especially if you are trying to get counter service. If you can go off hour, highly recommend it
They have the best chocolate chipscones. If you go to the bread counter near closing time they will often sell you lots of pastries for a reduced price. Like 6 bagels for $1.

I didn't like the spinachknish very much and thought the spinach and feta croissant was ok. The croissant was buttery and delicious but the filling was too watery and goopy. Maybe went on off day?
