Kevin Sbraga loves this place! -Kevin Sbraga, Top Chef
Most people go here for the duck hearts and lamb’s tongue. We go for the bar; it’s one of the most underrated in town.
Chewy, fresh-baked laffa bread, crisp Haloumi piled over a smear of date jam, an exemplary raw kibbe, peppers stuffed with rice and walnuts & juicy housemade merguez sausage.
Get the Fried cauliflower. Also the Syrah was amazing.
Start with the fava bean hummus for a different and amazing flavor. Mezze Indulgence: the crispy haloumi. Vegetarians MUST order the smoked eggplant and lentils. Beverage of choice: the sig lemonada
literally everything here is good imho. when asked what type of Hummus you want, go Turkish, you won't be sorry...
You always hear how great Zahav's food is, but what you might not hear is that the drinks are right up there with the hummus. Unexpected spices and flavors make for unique and delicious cocktails!
Go here and definitely order the lamb. Best thing I've eaten all year.
An amazing restaurant that offers unique dishes. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone delicious, and the fried cauliflower with mint and labneh was delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful.
At this citadel of worn wood and limestone in Society Hill, Michael Solomonov’s Middle Eastern combinations include mellow, musky, eggplant salad served next to nutty hummus with blistered flatbread.
The bar at Zahav makes for one of the most enjoyable eating and drinking experiences in the city.
Hummus. That's all there is to say.
try the hummus...it's to die for
Beets with tahini - very good.
Chef Michael Solomonov got some face-time when he competed against Philly chef, Jose Garces on Iron Chef in 2011. Since, he's starred in our own Philly 101 video: http://vstphl.ly/UcGij7
Order the halloumi! Cheesegasm
Maybe the best restaurant in the city. The hummus, the laffa bread, the mezza, the lamb shoulder! Skip trying to get a reso and just get on the list for a bar seat.
Hummus and restaurant week menu just great!
Incredible. I recommend the salatim, cauliflower, kofte, and chicken. Amazing meal and incredible service. They even brought us complimentary champagne since we were celebrating our anniversary.
By far, the best food I've had in such a long time. I'm a picky eater, and I ate EVERYTHING they put in front of me. Simply delicious. And you get so much food! Highly recommend!!
Get the Turkish hummus- large size!
Astoundingly good. Go for the tasting menu and don't look back. Moroccan chicken and chicken liver mousse are standouts, as is the limonanna cocktail. Made me long for Israel
Try the Turkish hummus, smoked sable, fried cauliflower, haloumi, lamb tongue, kibbe naya ... or literally anything on the menu. Every item I've tried here (~10 visits) has been fantastic.
Call ahead for the lamb shoulder. Out of this world and way more food than you'll ever eat.
The chef's lamb special is exceptional - don't miss it.
Grease stain? #Fuhgettaboutit.
Everything, everything is amazing, ya know...if you like food...
This is one of the best restaurants in the city. Amazing as usual.
Enjoyed a private event, celebrated my Bubie's life & met the parents here. To say this is a special place with the best Israeli food outside of Israel, would be an understatement. Michael delivers.
Try the Assorted Housemade Desserts
Anthony Bourdain had dinner at Zahav on his second day in town while filming for his show The Layover.
Halumi cheese and the laffa and hummus are delicious!
Get the Salatim and Turkish hummus. Have a wonderful life.
Get the crispy haloumi or the fried cauliflower. SO GOOD!
Lafah and hummus is amazing !!!
Drink white Lebanese white wine, the best!
Definitely try the Turkish hummus!
The bastilla is fantastic!
