Order the omakase!
For foodies looking to expand their Eastern horizons beyond the realm of sushi, Zenkichi is a modern Japanese brasserie offering the chance to experience traditional Tokyo with exotic small plates.
Great date night spot with your own private booth. The omakase is amazing!
Simply the most delicious Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn hands down, and the romantic cozy private booths are great for your date :)
Worth coming to if only for the no kids under 14 rule.
Tried to eat there but wasn't allowed in because they don't allow childred under 14- it's the law I was told.. BS I said
Probably the best japanese restaurant you can find! Black cod is a winner! Delicious sake! Friendly staff! The price is all worth it... 🍜
really amazing and interesting restaurantprivate booths are great for romantic dining
Sit in a private booth, order the octopus and cod, make out.
Really good black sesame mousse, black cod, chicken meatball, spicy cod riceball and eggplant with cold tofu!
Great private booths and a vibe that makes you feel like you walked into a hidden Tokyo gem. Very good but not blow your mind food.
Love the private booths and buzzers. If you ask, they offer a totally Vegetarian Omakase menu!
This place charged $5 for a pot of tea. Went with 4 of my friends. Ordered a bottle of sake. So I find it ridiculous that they charge us $20 for 4 pots of tea. Food is overrated.
the teba wings are amazing!
Miso cod and frozen black sesame mousse are unreal. Highly recommend the tasting menu... a little bit of everything at a reasonable price. Sake selection is great!
Delicious small plates and sake in a very romantic and intimate setting.
Great omakase. Includes soup, sushi, cod, steak, and rice with salmon & ikura. The private booths are cozy but a little tight. Imagine especially so for my tall friends out there.
The Eel and Cream Cheese is almost too good
Nice place, good service, great food. Must try Shrimp&Nasu tempura and Nagoya teba wings.
This restaurant is amazing! The fixed price menu is perfectly portioned and everything is expertly crafted. Definitely get the Sake sampler. They're all tasty (and strong)!
Private booths! Great place to go if you're one of those gross couples who makes out at dinner.
Love love love the Grilled Black Cod and the Sake selection here!
Quite possibly the best Japanese food I've ever tasted. Get the White Kakuni, it was out of this world! Atmosphere was also very cool with the private booths, so it's good for a date!
omikase is flippin' amazing and not pricey at $65/per person. seasonal menu... semi-private, romantic booths.
Omakase is SO worth it, but if going a la carte, the cod and teba wings are a must.
This restaurant is perfection. If you want to take advantage of this superb menu at a low price, make it to Dine-in Brooklyn Week! A $60 full-course meal at only $25 — ends on 03/31.
You would be a moron to not get the cod. Please do yourself a favor and listen. Legit.
Grilled chicken: BOOM. rice ball: BOOM. cod: BOOM
The sake here is amazing, make sure to ask the waitress to describe them all to you. Also the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in Japan, when you're really in Brooklyn. There are also buttons
excellent sake menu
Standouts: Blue Shrimp Sashimi w/ Tonburi, Tiger Shrimp & Shiitake Mushroom Tempura, Saikyo Miso Cod, Premium Nigiri Sushi, Frozen Black Sesame Mousse. Sake tasting FTW.
Fifty stars!! Get the omakase and pair with a sake flight. Thank me later. Incredible experience and perfect for a special occasion!
The duck salad is so delicious, we keep coming back to this place for it. The place is also great for dates, all tables are isolated with curtains, and waiter comes when you press a special button.
Great food and perfect for dates.
Perfect for a romantic date. Private snug booths and candlelight.
You’ll recognize the entrance to Zenkichi because of its discreet door (in a wood-paneled wall) with the number ‘77’ above it.
Everything is great. Pro tip: you can never go wrong with Japanese meatballs
Definitely a place to remember. You get your own cubicle so it's very private. The food is very exotic and different. Miso cod and the tuna sashimi are great!
Sashimi! Tsukune chicken! Spicy roe rice ball! Milk tofu dessert!
Tiny tables! Do the omakase and chocolate walnut dessert.
This intimate restaurant is perfect for dates. Order a variety of small plates (potato mochi, jidori salt chicken) or just go for the omakase. End the meal with the frozen black sesame mousse.
It's a good place for a date (not a first date). Try the Anago and Cream Cheese Tempura. It's legit.
Romantic spot. Go with someone you actually like because the booths are super cozy. Omakase at $65/pp is delicious and a must!
