18 hole disc golf!
I once saw a performance of beauty and the beast here and it was really nice.
The train is amazing, go with your kids!
Check out awesome park with huge playscape, duck pond, canoes, paddle boats, train for everyone, live music, kite festival, and Barton Springs pool!
Trails, lawn, paddling.
You gotta go to Zilker!
In the warmer weather make sure you get here early... Otherwise parking is a problem... Unless you're lucky!! 😉
This park is beautiful. Great trails for walking/jogging/running. Great views of the city and the water. And it goes on forever!
This park is absolutely gorgeous, from canoeing and swimming to hiking, biking and watching amazing concerts, this place is truly one of a kind!
Best place to get away for a run, fly a kite, or bring your dog.
See the Christmas tree here in December; can also rent boats!
See the tree in December
Zilker park Christmas tree lighting. Turkey legs and kettle corn!
Blues on the Green at Zilker is my favorite Austin event. My dog loves the off-leash section.
Summer time free music! The shows down here are pretty incredible as well. No music playing? Still an amazingly peaceful walk through the gardens
Beautiful park. Great for kids of all ages.
Best place in Austin. Nuff said.
ACL is soo much fun!!
Came here for ACL. This has to be one of the cleanest, large park that holds festivals. The effort to keep it clean throughout the festival was amazing.
AI'm going to order lunch for us for the meeting from the grove. Ss a salad or a sandwich?
VIP food and drink.
Really beautiful place to relax and šee downtown skyline ... Our daughter lived in Austin for years but moved to Nashville and when she got married this is where it was. Beautiful photos:-)
Nice spot to escape the city, but you never feel too far away thanks to the amount of trash and highway noise. Hike off the trail to find the cave if you dare
A good out and back 15 mile total trail. Wear a shoe with good traction. The moss on the rocks in the middle are slick. Best times to visit are April-June.
People, pick up your dog's excrement. Seriously. You don't deserve the companionship of a pet if you're not responsible enough to do so simple a task.
Live your summer here. Lounge under a tree, play with your dog, listen to blues, run into friends, play pick up soccer or ultimate frisbee as the day wanes and the lights of the city guide you home.
Absolutely love this park. It's huge & has off leash areas for your dog. Great place to bring a picnic as well! Lots of restaurants near by and even trails to go for a run/bike ride on!
Bring blanket, beer, dog, n buds ~
Sweat it out
Look closely for a canary trained in the art of falconry. I was skeptical when first training him, but he was a fast learner.
My first time at the ACL and was canceled. #badluckmonica
Gret for Festivals!! Like ACL!!
Hike & bike trails, movies in the park, sand volleyball, soccer, kayak & canoe rentals and don't forget the disc golf course.
So motivating to run with all these athletic people!
Needs a traffic light
"Common birds of Town Lake". If you're a super geek that will kayak or canoe, look up University of Texas Breckenridge (Breckinridge ?) Research for longitudinal studies.
A scary gang symbol? Heh. ;-)
Poison ivy - now ya know.
State of Texas : Colonel William Barret Travis remembered.
Less and less of a fan of ACL and the Trail of Lights shutting down Zilker for three plus months. Also, the city inconsistently and sporadically charges for parking on weekends. Fantastic otherwise.
Austin's favorite park. ride the zephyr, fly a kite, have a picnic or relax.
Park and walk...
Great place to get your kite stuck in a tree!
Zilker is the best officially off-leash dog park in Austin. It may be the best anywhere, assuming your dog won't just take off running (there aren't fences here).
Fantastic disc golf course. FYI, it is possible to throw a disc onto Mopac from hole 11.
If you plan to canoe or kayak be advised that you need proper attire. If you kayak your butt will be soaked. Running shorts are your best bet since they dry quickly.
