Welcome to Vancouver Christmas Market, an authentic outdoor German Christmas village. The Market will be open daily from 11am to 9pm from Nov 22 until Dec 24.
Just feeling so festive there.
As any German will attest, it's weird to have a Christmas market you have to pay to get into. But hey, overpriced as it may be, it's fun, the food's delicious, and it's festive.
Come after dinner for the best experience - festive lights, happy vendors and the best ambience to drink mulled wine in! Great end to an evening.
Gluhwein and bratapfel! Best combination ever.
The sleigh by the big nutcracker is surprising comfortable to sit in. Plus it's a good photo spot!
Try some spicy gluehwein to warm you. YUM!
Print out your VIP FastPass at VancouverChristmasMarket.com to help bypass general admission lineups.
The feuerzangenbowle is superior to the glühwein this year.
Love this market! There's a daily deal right now, 2 tickets for $5.
Try the Bavarian Baked Potato - Piping hot pulled pork and sauerkraut on a fresh baked potato. Huge portion and very tasty!
Try the Roasted Pork Belly On A Bun - With onions and sauerkraut. Think really thick slices of bacon!
Lunch Pass -$2. Bring your colleague for lunch and get one free entry! Valid Mon-Fri 11am- 2pm. Print pass from http://www.vancouverchristmasmarket.com/tickets.php
$2 Admission Special! Mon – Fri 11am-4pm
The spiced wine with rum is so good. Make sure you try it!
$5 admission, unless Monday to Friday 11am - 2pm, it's only $2.
Bratwurst is pricey but excellent! There are two bratwurst stands BTW - the one along Georgia has shorter lines.
Get off foursquare and enjoy socializing!
Stay FAR away until after 2pm on weekdays! Lines for everything are reminiscent of Olympic pavilions!! After 2pm it's a lovely civilized experience!
Starts up on Wednesday Nov 24 and runs for 31 days, 11AM-9PM. The entire Plaza is licensed, and they have great food too.
