Best steakhouse in NYC. the porterhouse is the way to go. Don't miss the bacon appetizer. if you're lucky enough to go for lunch, get the burger. It's made from their dry-aged beef and it's only $12!

One of the most genuine places I've ever been to. The steak (Porterhouse) for two was excellent and the waiters made our dinner a fantastic experience. This needs to be your first stop in NYC.

It’s unclear what can be said about Pete Luger that hasn’t already been said. It’s a New York institution, and the steaks are damn good. Order the porterhouse.

A historic atmosphere and a convivial crowd are always present at this packed Williamsburg stalwart. Customers in the know order the porterhouse for two…and always with a side of bacon. Read more

It was founded in 1887 when Williamsburg was a city onto itself, and some say Luger is the greatest steakhouse in the world. Even if we can’t go quite that far, the steaks are damn good. Read more

Bacon is a must, must, must. Tomatoes and onions are huge. Porterhouse for 2, can't go wrong. Been ordering these dishes for the past few years.

Best steak in my life so far. Nice beerhall atmosphere. Just get the steak for x people.

Amazing. Get "1" steak less than your party. Trust me. 3 grown men, 3 steaks, 3 sides left us aching, highly satisfied, and knowing we only needed 2.

You definitely want Canadian bacon. You definitely want some sort of salad. You definitely want the steak for two (rare or bust). And you definitely want to end with the holy cow hot fudge sundae.

Enjoyed the steak a lot, but was underwhelmed with the sides and the ambiance. Potentially a little overhyped, but worth a trip at least once!

Come for the burger during lunch. Otherwise, go nuts on their house dry-aged steak for two or however many people you have. I like mine rare/medium rare, it's that rich in umami. Make reservations!

Porter house steaks , lamb chops and bacon strips with their signature sauce . These three are the top flavors to try. Excellent atmosphere but a little bit overpriced ...

Obviously, the steak is out of this world. Sides too. It has quite a different vibe from a typical steakhouse (wood tables, loud, more beer hall style) but it’s amazing. Totally worth it.

Try the lunch time-only burger and you won't be disappointed. The onion rings were pretty awesome as well, as is the special Peter Luger steak sauce.

Yes, you should eat all the steak your body can handle, but make sure you leave enough room for the scrumptious apple strudel with homemade schlag.

The best steak in all of New York City. Yes it's expensive and cash only. You have to make reservations far in advance but it will be the best steak you've ever had. The burgers are also fantastic.

Probably under order for your group if you're getting sides. We did steak for 4 with a group of 6 and it was the perfect amount. Must order sides: creamed spinach and bacon

You will be admonished if you order your steak anything other than rare, so it's best to just let the kitchen take control. For sides, creamed spinach, onion rings, & German fried potatoes are a must.

Over-priced and over-rated. Steak is good and juicy. Salmon was over-cooked. Skip creamed spinach and German potatoes for onion rings and fries. Bacon steak and salad with blue cheese appetizers best!

Super old school and quite casual-old decor, fixtures & bustling atmosphere. Definitely not your typical bougie steakhouse. It's funny I don't consume meat but frequent steakhouses for other varieties

Peter Luger's burger is no frills & all flavor. It offers a thinly charred exterior to a precious pink treasure of its juicy, dry-aged core.Topped with onion, American cheese, & a thick slab of bacon.

Steak for two medium rare. German potatoes and creamed spinach. If you're feeling fat get a slice of thick cut bacon. It's all so so good. Cash only!

Worth the trip into Brooklyn to get to this Mecca of steak. Porterhouse, creamed spinach, and a potato, and you'll be happy. Cash only, or get the house credit card (it's free) to look smooth.

in 2013 I was obsessed but I went last night and my opinion has changed. The steak at Strip House + BLT are (dare I say) better; the vibe and prices are better. I did LOVE the hot fudge sundae tbh

You MUST get the bacon. The steak portions are large so be careful how you order, Steak for Four easily feeds six people. Don't forget to leave room for apple strudel with schlag for dessert!
