The aircon in this place is crazy, I'm freezing, in the hallways and the restaurant. The elevators are horrible too. Staff is very friendly though. Just bring a sweater.
Carpets are dated and amenities are above basic. Service is so-so at reception, but Lacie in the lounge is the best. The breakfast is actually good. Minuses is netted with a few pluses.
Additionally, the new wifi code is SPG2013. However, you won't need it because the Internet won't seem to connect in the rooms! Ended up having to use a random available network.
The staff was very nice, but the hotel is very tired and is in need of updating. The chair and headboard were damaged. The price for hotel is not worth it. Will stay somewhere else next time.
Not impressed at ALL. I will not stay here again. Last month I stayed at a Sheraton and it was great. This one microwave no fridge very loud not enough staff at check in and check out
Should you leave your chargers, cologne or whatever in your room by the time you check out, don't trust that the housekeeping to keep it for you. Happened twice, no luck.
Worst water pressure EVER. It's ridiculous. And the TV literally took 5-10 minutes to turn on every time. Disappointed in the place for the amount of $$ spent to stay here!
Due to no rain in the Austin area the hallways where the rms are located smell like wet animals!!! House keeping can't read do not disturb signs. Food over rated and over priced.
Within the cultural heart of downtown Austin and near the University of Texas, our convenient location, friendly service, and newly remodeled public space create the perfect home base for exploring all that the city has to offer.
