- Must enjoy this "tiny" airport strategically located (in downtown area!) as much as we can. Simply because the new airport (around two hours drive) will be opening soon, most probably in 2019.
- Glenda UyJuly 6, 2014Lots of food stalls outside, b4 ck-in. Security less than 2 minutes, free wifi! Oh, and 2 staff I asked from, speaks English. Announcements in comprehensible English-better than T3 jakarta!!!
- U can choose TransYogya bus, Yogya tour bus, train even cheap taxi from airport. Or you can rent a car just for 250K rupiah a day. Love this city

- ZMarch 24, 2018This is a small airport with really busy vehicle traffic. Taxi drivers surround you upon exit. Walk out across the railway tracks to get to the main road to get an uber.
- Between the 2 terminals, where the taxi parking is, there's a small warung (local eatery). Local prices, local standard.
- There is no taxiway toward the runway 09/27. Aircraft must vacate the entire runway when going to take off (other aircraft who wants to land sometimes need to do holding). ILS RW09 is ussualy used.
- Try the omelette in Aero Kafe near the entrance of departure hall. Good light meal while you wait. The place is quiet too.

- Ayomi MichaelisMarch 15, 2016Currently, it has 2 functioning terminals: A & B (B is 200 meters away from Terminal A). Make sure you're at the right one for your flight. Ask the information centre in Terminal A if you're in doubt.

- There's nothing changed since the last time i was here. The airport is still smaller than any standard international airport i had been. The local maybe want to keep the vintage theme intact.

- Ayomi MichaelisMarch 15, 2016It is a small airport with heavy traffics. The good thing is: all the gates in the terminals are next to each other, no need to panic if your gate is changed. The bad thing is: overwhelmingly crowded.
- if you're flying through terminal b, sriwijaya, airaasia, and expressair, you have excess baggage, pls provide cash when you're paying them. sriwijaya doesnt have any machine for cashless payment.

- Feeling thirsty? Or a need a little snack? buy from indomaret, located on the right side airport tax counter, before entering waiting lounge. Much cheaper, not crazy price like any other.

- If don't want to use the airport taxi (non-meter), walk to the taxi drop off area. Get a taxi that just dropped pasgers. You'll need to pay IDR 2,000 (USD 0.2) for parking tickets. Cheaper w/ meter.

- Domestic departure area very well done, though overcrowded. Int'l departure is a tiny purgatory, esp when flights get delayed & they just keep filling the place up! Needs expansion & major upgrade!
