- Meka LloydDecember 29, 2013Looking for sexy simple and downright good Mexican...you found it. Enjoy the dimly lit dining room and indulge in any number if great dishes. Guac and ritas are on point.Upvoted Jan 28
- Sandrene MathewsMarch 8, 2015Great margaritas. The blended coconut is amazing. But the hostess staff is less than friendly and the food isn't anything to rave about. I can get better Mexican food in Tennessee.
- Offbeat L.A.January 28, 2016Opened 1956. Dark, vintage Mexican restaurant with burgundy leather booths brick walls and great original neon signs.
- The FeastJune 8, 2011Happy 55th year Ray Vega! The booths are so dark it's best to sit up front by the bar. Don't forget to order the carnitas and cheese enchilada/chicken taco combo plate while you're at it.
- Shana WallAugust 11, 2013Their new Sunday Bloody Mary cart is awesome. Best Bloody Mary I've had... Cucumbers, Olives, Celery, Peperoncini's... Mmm👍. (Service much friendlier Sundays too!)
- Greg LehmanJune 19, 2015Visited for the first time for lunch. Light crowd, great food, and our server was super-nice to our daughter. Great first experience!
- Kordai SummersFebruary 18, 2014Awesome! Yummy food and drinks. Great healthy, vegetarian and vegan selections!!!!
- Jenny GJuly 2, 2013Don't listen to those fools!!! We are here for lunch and the service is fantastic plus the best food to boot!
- Jeff PorterMarch 10, 2017I like this place and the food is decent, but wow is it expensive! For 2 people having Mexican food with only one alcohol drink still end up paying almost $100 bucks!
- Rich GunnDecember 27, 2013Get the lobster enchiladas!!! Best ever! I mean, I haven't tried them yet but everyone says their great 😊
- TOMMY GIBBSJanuary 18, 2014TOO DAMN CROWED AN THE ENTRANCE AND THE BAR NEED TO BE BIGGER REMODLE, HOWEVER THE CARNE, ASSADA, BURRITO IS THE BOMB!
- Robert BankheadSeptember 5, 2014Food and drinks are great. Service is good. Like the gave setting... great for dates and family eating
- Briefly CaresJune 22, 2011Yes crowded on the weekends just get there about 7 and you'll be in good shape, you'll be in even better shape when you order the crab enchiladas.
- Owen SzaboApril 7, 2014Have a drink at the bar while you wait to be seated. Get a margarita of course. Tell them you know Owen
- Sarah MkAugust 25, 2012Can't make reservations. BUT they have the best quesadilla. (also, try the ranchero burrito) Awesome.
- KatrinaJanuary 28, 2015Popular place for drinks on weekend. Decent food but definitely a good hang out bar in the valley.
- Best happy hour margaritas... You can't beat $5 & they are strong and good
- Melody HanJuly 26, 2021Happy hour margs are great, and that and the ambiance are what you’re there for bc the food is only so-so
- Brad HerschbergerAugust 25, 2012Great Skinny Margarita... A must try if all the Sweet&Sour of a regular one is just to much!!
- Linda PosnickMarch 5, 2014Great atmosphere, the food not so great. I had the avocado salad, lots of iceberg lettuce. The vinaigrette dressing was horrible. A cross between French and vinaigrette dressing. Yuck!
- Brett HuntJuly 26, 2013If your hungry, best hope your entire party is there otherwise you don't get a seat :-(
- Erik OstermanSeptember 21, 2015Ambiance is nice, but food has gone to hell. Been coming here for 20+ years, but something has changed. Food is just not that good. Waiters are inattentive. Frequently get served the wrong thing.
- Lunch specials and happy hour make this place worth it. Be prepared for a long dinner wait though.
- Natalie RotmanDecember 2, 2011for comfort food - no one can touch Casa Vega. Get the Tostada Chiquita + Cheese Enchiladas. Rub your belly all the way home x
- Ok, so this used to be a fave, but in recent years the food has taken a downturn. Now it's confirmed, I'm not returning, suffered sickness after eating here. Shame, as I loved the atmosphere :(
- The tortilla soup is AMAZING! Always friendly staff! I love Casa Vega!
- Brittany EllisJune 24, 2011This is still probably the best Mexican food in the valley. Delicious!!!!
- Daniel H.September 2, 2013Over-hyped, average food - expensive for what you get. Mediocre service. But, did see a movie star while dining. Tortilla soup is better at Baja Fresh.
