A Mexican institution since 1931, El Coyote on Beverly continues to serve up big plates of Mexican-American fare, from fajitas to enchiladas to some serious strong margaritas. Read more

We've been coming here for 28 years! First date, marriage proposal, kids' first solid good. An institution. Ask to sit in George's or Casanova's section!

Beautiful ambiance! Good service chille relleno & shredded steak taco was similar to what I had in Mexico, the salsa is too spicy and to die for.

Green corn tamales are the way to go. 2 tamales and 2 fajitas were more than enough for 4 people. Tasty food, strong drinks, friendly staff.

The best Mexican restaurant in LA. Order the Scratch and enjoy the wonderful service and ambiance. Perhaps you may see a star enjoying their meal!

Getting the burritos wet with guacamole and sour cream is the way to go. And if you're like me, you'll ask them to leave out the rice.

Cheap, strong drinks ($6.50 for a tall Absolut with club soda). And good service all around. And the whole Sharon Tate historical thing. I'll leave the food comments to others, though.

Pretty darn good fajitas, but the tortillas and rice and beans kinda upstage the main event.

This place is DELICIOUS. Go for the burrito "La Cocina" style with chicken and extra cheese. Don't leave until you finish it!

The Coyote Street Tacos are a definite must. Three soft tacos topped with chopped onion and cilantro served with two sides of salsas. Plus they have Hoegaarden on draft!

If you're going to get a margarita, get the Scratch. It's got more tequila, and is only 50 cents more than the House Margarita. It's only served on the rocks though, and not blended.

Order “the scratch margarita with the ice on the side,” the best, most potent drink they make and you’ll pretty much get 2 for the price of 1.
