- 🐼 JackieJanuary 29, 2017Been coming here for 10+ years! staff is really friendly, the service is good (they keep my hot green tea cup filled) and the food has always been consistently good. Chicken sharaku is my fave!
- Misook JiJuly 21, 2014This place has been here for a long time even before NYkers knew what sushi is. Not fancy but solid. Great place to hang out & enjoy food at sushi bar when you are alone. Great for big groups too!
- Rebecca LiMay 30, 2013I've been coming here for ten+ years. I love this place!!! Food and service is great. I'm a huge fan of the carrot ginger dressing.
- The new beverage menu features an appealing and shorter sake list, 4 by the glass, 5 bottles. A personal fave, Onigoroshi, made the cut.
- Matt HantzMay 9, 2013The spicy mayo is very different from other sushi joints: very little mayo and a consistency that resembles grainy mustard. Still good, but be forewarned.
- Holger LüdorfDecember 17, 2010Solid sushi. Saba and Uni were great quality. Trust me, I loves in Japan for a few years and this place serves good sushi!
- Kelly AJanuary 13, 2015Watch for hairs in your salad! All you'll get is an "oh" when you point it out.
- David ChenDecember 26, 2015The the salmon steak lunch entrée was amazing . Get it with the miso soup and spicy salmon roll :)
- Sushi lunch has morped for the 3rd time in recent months. It's expanded to include 2 pieces of salmon, yellow tail & tuna.
- Sunnie ParkMay 12, 2012The pre-fixe dinner (2 entrees, choice of miso or veggie soup), rice and salad is about 15.00. It's a great deal. Definitely worth it.
- 3 more pieces of nigiri sushi -- salmon, yellow tail, tuna -- have replaced futomaki in Sharaku's sushi lunch (4/14/14).
- David HollandsSeptember 28, 2011Service can be slow when busy, but overall, a great value at one of the few Sushi places that also has a large kitchen menu. Sukiyaki!
- Been going here for years. Better than a lot of places. Good neighborhood sushi place
- Ina LiAugust 28, 2015Reasonable dinner deal. Two entrees meal for only 17(go for salmon steak and mushroom tofu). The taste is okay and sashimi is so so
- Lulu PengNovember 25, 2012Salmon steak was pretty good and for a decent price, got brown rice and sushi and soup and salad. 7/10
- Nicole GillamApril 21, 2013Great sushi for the price. We come here once a month and are never disappointed!
- Sharaku has new management and a new sake list to go with it. Gone is Wakataki Onigoroshi, for one.
- $8.95 miso soup, salad, spicy salmon, main dish, bottomless green tea cups and fruit for dessert... Until 4:45!
- Jennifer OlahJanuary 2, 2012Great pre fixed dinner special until 8pm. Inexpensive for soup, salad, 2 entree choices and sides
- ChrisFebruary 4, 2011I also read Jordy's tip just after ordering. Actually we were quite happy with our meal, sushi and sesame pork for lunch. Decent value.
- Ed WinMarch 27, 2017Sushi was ok. Expected worse. Everyone is a sushi expert, right? Prices are good. Place is a bit drab but the service is good. Miso soup was good.
- Christopher MoriniMarch 28, 2010This place is open late. Wide variety of all kinds of food. Go to the IFC theatre for a 10pm show and come here around 1am for anything.
- Diana TobeyAugust 6, 2011Check out the post-10pm late night special - $16 for saki/sapporo and either 2 apps, app + 2 rolls, or entree
- Ignore jordys comments. He's just butthurt. Service was good. Food was great. Nice spot.
- Brown rice has been added to the menu, a welcome develpment.
- Grade A rating from NYC Health Dept. is back & sticking.
- Lauren SantiagoMarch 29, 2013Got the sashimi lunch. NOT good and not fresh. Total fail considering all the other awesome places in this area!
- Blake RegoDecember 22, 2011The service was slow and it didn't seem particularly busy. Also, the sushi was a bit ... warm. The presentation was nice but I don't think I'd get sushi here again
- Not the best sushi but I enjoy eating here since it was my very 1st sushi spot way back when I was 20yrs old.
- This place is awesome if you like japanese food =] I highly reccomend the chicken of sharaku.
- Anyone who knows sushi, knows this place is pretty much garbage, fortunately for them, most of its patrons are college kids from middle America that don't know any better and write glowing reviews
- Songlak SvastiDecember 13, 2011This is not sushi. By far the weirdest sushi i've ever seen. It's enormous in a bad way.
