- Lindsay EyinkFebruary 28, 2014Typical American diner and the best 24 hour restaurant in SF. I've only ever been between 2am and 8am. It's awesome people watching and good food. Also, old school SF. ;)Upvoted Feb 26
- Greg PriceJune 27, 2016Chocolate chip pancakes are good. The secret to making the pancakes great: BYO real maple syrup.
- Great 24 hour coffee shop/diner in the heart of the Castro. It gets packed late at night, but it's worth the wait for the pancakes.
- Genevieve GerstJuly 27, 2013This is where you go after the party when you're drunk & starving. ...or if you want to have the BEST TUNA MELT EVER. Tip your waiter, drunky.
- Henry WilliamsFebruary 24, 2013Sit at the bar and watch the magic happens Nate flashes you a smile and your food in no time flat. I'd come just for him if the food weren't just as great. Come hungry.
- Fred Stevens-SmithSeptember 8, 2015I love this place. Sassy service, open 24h, standard solid American diner fare. Don't be a schmuck like my friend and order anything not 'breakfasty'.
- Alicia HansenOctober 1, 2016Mmm. Sloppy Joe's after playing was great! We got there at about 1am so we beat the line.
- Pamela GocobachiAugust 15, 2014Wonderful little hole in the wall diner-- great for a late night bite! Fast service, good food, AND they have the sweetest wait staff!
- Kelly StrodlJune 27, 2011not always the best food, but the environment is a hoot, and it's worth a visit at least once to take in the view of the Castro, if you sit at one of the two front booths, or just talk it up with one Read more
- If you're visiting, I guess it's recommended you visit here once. But I'd recommend just huffing it a few blocks to Sparky's for your late night diner-ing.
- The chicken and cakes are the stuff of legend. Split with a buddy, though. The portion is massive! Nothin' wrong with that.
- Kian LaviFebruary 8, 2020simply an sf institution. don’t expect quick service or amazing food. just come at 3am, shut up, and sink in
- Randy MooreJune 2, 2013love it for being an ICON of the castro, the food is always the same ,and the staff is a HOOT i love them
- blake drummondFebruary 12, 2013Great breakfast! Michael is SUCH a sweetheart and his hospitality was so appreciated... We will be back!
- Never had bad food here. I enjoy the omelettes in particular, and they're available all day.
- Try the Coconut Cake - I'm dead now this is so good. DEAD I TELL YOU (via @Foodspotting)
- Alexander SarmientoJanuary 25, 2011I haven't been here in a while, but I always enjoy myself here. It's great that it's open 24 hours; outside of some chain restaurants, you don't find anything like that in San Francisco.
- char zvolanekAugust 14, 2015Counter seating means great serendipitous meetings. At 2am everything tastes great.
- Steven HOctober 29, 2016Tried so hard to like the place. The history. Open all night. Fun staff. But... The food quality is just garbage. Food quality in SF can be so high (both expensive and divey!). OA is not good enough
- Matt WilliamsFebruary 24, 2013STRICT recommendation: Try the BBQ Pork Omelette. You WON'T be disappointed. ;-)
- Aaron DraczynskiOctober 14, 2012Breakfast served all day! Tasty orange juice, fresh-squeezed and full of pulp.
- Bring pepper spray. If the meth-y waiter is having a bad day he might threaten you with silverware.
- Dwight LSeptember 15, 2011I always come here for the pancakes. I don't know how they make them but they're magical. The best pancakes in SF
- Geoffrey MasonDecember 30, 2011Don't let the 2:00 shift fool you. Some of them can be really irrational and kick you out for the dumbest reasons.
- Humberto MartinezJanuary 9, 2011I love this place. Great place to end a long night or randomly meet people at the bar at breakfast/brunch time.
- Elizabeth WelkAugust 17, 2011The best food I have had in SF so far and the staff is very friendly and welcoming
- Paul Tollefson ChristopherNovember 17, 2009Best place for a mushroom, cheddar cheese burger @ 2:00 a.m. in the morning. Nice, down to earth staff, but don't push it - they put up with a lot!
- Great food, drunk or not. Two best things: biscuits & gravy and Shane!
- Steve DardarianAugust 20, 2011Loved the 7AM drug induced nod-off's snoring in front of their chicken-fried steaks. Reminded me of Greg Allman & Cher! Hahaha....
- Breakfast! 24/7. Banana and chocolate pancakes are great.
- Without a doubt, one of the best country fried steaks I've ever had!
- Billy BarrMarch 26, 2013This used to be my fave joint to stop by.. however after dining there on last two trips, it was disappointing.. even worst on my last visit, butter on my toast was twice as thick as a sliced cheese!
