- Rachel DonleyDecember 20, 2014Awesome walls, friendly staff, and a great deal- once you're in you can do more than climb! I took a yoga class, and it appears they have gym equipment as well
- The climbing is good here. Some nights they close annoyingly early (9 or 10pm) and 7pm closures on weekends are completely silly. But the routes are always set well and people are mostly friendly.
- ReginaAugust 19, 2014Mostly top-roping here, but there is a small bouldering area. Standard operating procedure is leaving the figure 8 knot in the rope & not tying both ends up neatly, keeping them off the floor.
- Damian BayonaDecember 18, 2017Sauna and showers are surprisingly nice. Weightlifting area is adequate for accessory work. Cardio equipment is also tucked away in pockets around the facility. Climbing, of course, is good too.
- Jody's yoga classes are amazing. Her morning class is the best way to start the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And if you want to step up your yoga game, take her intermediate on Wednesday evenings.
- Great vibe, really high top rope climbing, and a newly revamped bouldering area that is a lot of fun even though it is small.
- Dan DupreeApril 29, 2017Great staff. Super friendly. Had a great time. Last Friday of the month is always 'being a buddy day'. Your guest gets in free : )
- Fun rainy day activity. The roof amplifies the sound of the rain, making it feel even cozier and drier inside.
- Can't beat the location. Decent gym, nice enough staff (which seems to be par for the course with Bay Area climbing gyms--always gotta be a few douches).
- Tim KanellitsasJanuary 24, 2017Great climbing, great community, great perks to being a member. One question though... why is everyone at the front desk so unfriendly? It's as if they dislike the members. No emotion.
- David RApril 17, 2018Great climbing gym that is always busy. Bouldering area tends to be less full and still great. Fun for all levels and ages.
- Trevor GilbertSeptember 30, 2014Pretty great rock climbing, but hard to get to if you don't live nearby or have a bike (lots of bike rack space available!)
- Biggest climbing gym in the bay. Staff very cool and walls awesome !
- Awesome cardio boxing and yoga classes. They change up their routes every so often so dont give up on your challenge routes or else they might disappear!
- Andrew ScheuermannApril 16, 2018Great climbing! They also have daily fitness classes, a weight room, and a sauna.
- Expansion is happening at the gym so if you're here to take a yoga class, check in then walk around the corner on alameda between 19th and 20th!
- A freshly installed, color-changing neon sign. You just can't beat that.
- Climbing, yoga, spin, weights, sauna. Everything the body needs.
- can be a zoo after work. before work is way better, and a great way to start the day!
- I just started, but the people here are friendly and nice! :)
- Zach FoxAugust 7, 2014Great for top roping. Head over to Dogpatch Boulders (another Touchstone gym) for bouldering, though.
- Jordan teaches the best yoga classes ever - perfect blend of balance, strength, and releasing muscle tension you didn't even know you had.
- Ever-changing routes means never getting bored. Challenge yourself to try a harder route, or an inversion!
- Use the bench in the bouldering area for sitting, not storage.
- The best part of waking up early is a cheery and uncrowded Mission Cliffs
- Best people, and soon the best bouldering gym out there. Can't wait!
- Intro class is only an hour, and easy to get you started!
- annie 🧸February 20, 2013If you're with a group and waiting to take the ropes test, hang back to listen in for tips
- It's empty on Saturday mornings. San Franciscans love their Friday nights!
- Entrance is the door just south of the door labeled 701.
- Grab an al pastor taco from El tonayense and eat while watching sick pro climbers lead a 5.13b from the bleachers.
- El Toyanese taco truck is always parked across the street. Great post-climbing snack
- Stop by Atlas Cafe down the street, grab a coffee, and climb!
- Careful where you lock your bike... Professional thieves love that we're all in here for so long
