LA does theme bars like no one else. Moody, red lighting. This + Tiki Ti down the street are a great pair. Have a few cocktails, oscillate between loving it/feeling bad about cultural appropriation.

Came here for a drink after work and was told to try the coconut drink (Potent Potion) it was incredibly good. Tasted very sweet and almost like a smoothie. Will be back for another soon!

Awesome interior and vibe. Larger room in the back appears tacky but totally works. Look out for "reserved" cards on tables before sitting down.

With its festive Chinese-themed décor (gotta love the lantern–filled bar and outdoor neon signage), this dimly lit space is fun, fun, fun. Sip on a fancy cocktail or enjoy a Jameson on the rocks.

Fancy dive. Dig the ambience. The juke box plays what you want when you want. Always a plus. Cocktails are good.

The atmosphere is fun and music is good. Cocktails were $11 and are good if you like sweet stuff

This placed gets pretty packed and even more so now that news broke that it's closing despite. Prepare to wait a whiiiile for your $12-15 drinks in this hot and noisy bar that's a wee bit smelly.

I'm remiss to share because sometimes they run out, but order the gingery goodness of the Dark & Stormy next time you're here. It's delicious and it's served in a ceramic coconut.
