Cash only bar that is 1 of the oldest bars in the city. Only serves wine and beer. Check out the candles and old fashioned cash register on the 1st floor. Outdoor patio on 2nd floor to overlook city

This is a one of a kind place to grab a drink. Great atmosphere, nice people, and reasonable drinks--oh and a great juke. Wish I lived closer.

Upstairs is only open after nine on the weekends and if you want the upstairs bartenders to get mad at you bring a drink up the stairs. Be nice.

Oldest operating building in Houston (http://bit.ly/a31m89). Stare at the bar carvings, put a couple bucks in the jukebox and check out the upstairs balcony (weekends only). Oh, and bring cash.

I found this place on a recent business trip to Houston. Was inconvenienced by the fact that they didnt accept credit cards, but it was a nice place all the same.

Make a practice of carrying cash if you want to make this haunted, dusty escape your spot. They don't accept plastic of any kind.
