It offers Japanese eats, including pork-juice-oozing gyoza crisped on only one side, katsu pork cutlets splayed over rice in a perfect katsudon, and, ramen in a variety of old-country styles. Read more

Tan tan ramen is solid, add extra spice and a poached egg for the ultimate experience. Ramen is super quick, got out faster than our beer. Way faster. Who wants beer halfway through their ramen.

Best all-around Japanese restaurant in NYC. Very bitter that it’s shutting down. Went twice this month to enjoy their superlative tantanmen and karaage. Been going since the early 90s!

Sapporo makes the most authentic and delicious Cold Ramen aka 'Hiyashi-chuka (冷やし中華)' I ve ever had in New York in Summer. Its taste is really close to the original one in Tokyo. Definitely recommend.

Staff was great! Our friend was running late but they sat us and let us order while we waited. Amazing ramen and even better shredded pork and dumplings!

This place is run and filled with Japanese people, which means you know it’s authentic! Fast service, and great food. My go-to’s are Sukiyaki Beef with Tofu or the Katsu-Don. Portions are big.

Best ramen in the city. All other ramens cower in awe, limp noodles quivering in meager broth, a single slice of pork sinking shamefully to the bowl's bottom. (P.S. No credit cards)

At this Hell's Kitchen Japanese spot, I get the cha han, a delicious fried rice dish that I always ask them to add pork to. It's cheap, quick and yummy." - Chef Bill Telepan

With temperatures plummeting to the 40s at night, ramen season is upon us. Get the curry ramen, for a steaming hot bowl of noodles. Read more

I went for take-out at lunch time. It was very crowded, but that's usually a good sign in NY! I took the Sapporo Salad, it cost me 9$ and it was very good. I recommend it!

Once upon a time in the dark days of New York this was the only place to get ramen in the city. There better noodle joints nearby (Tabata, Totto) but Sapporo still serves a decent shoyu or curry.

They changed their menu drastically in the last year or so and if you don't want to eat something deep fried (which by the way is delicious) or ramen noodle (less variety than before) not much else

Sapporo is known as the birthplace of miso ramen. According to lore, the variant was invented in 1955, when a customer asked a chef to add some noodles to his miso-and-pork soup. Read more

Don't pass this classic Japanese noodle place up just because it's on the northern edge of Times Square glitzy-ness. The Shoyu Ramen with extra seasoned boiled egg had a flavorful broth.

Used to be iffy in places cooking ramen since I can cook ramen myself. This place cooked it deliciously. Japanese-run; English is also used. Cash only. Yum! Just get ramen, everything else is ok.

Try the Tsuke Men with dipping sauce on a spring day. The temperature is just right and they give you a pot of hot broth to wash it down at the end. PERFECTURO DESTNE!

Check Miso Ramen from set menu. The restaurant has serving for 38 years and renewed interior as well as all menu. Very cosy and dishes are so much better!

Serviceable. Seems to collect of trendy Asian dishes and makes okay versions of them. It's not bad it's just okay. However avoid the Tan Tan Men, the sauce here is thin and week.
