- MonikaDecember 19, 2014Absolutely out of world cocktails that are classy and flavorful. The ambience is classy and warm but not intimidating. It's a place for a small intimate group of friends or a nice date spot.
- Tin KadoicOctober 9, 2016There is no other bar in the world where you can order so many modern classics at their source: GinGin Mule, Earl Gray MarTEAni and Old Cuban. —NYT
- Sarah Judd WelchMay 14, 2012Super cozy old-school bar with incredible cocktails. I came here w/ a friend on a Sunday evening and would totally come back w/ a date or for any private conversation. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- AlyssaDecember 5, 2015Pricey but cool bar right on W Houston. Perfect for drinks after dinner or as the first stop on your night out. Definitely chat with the bartender about what type of cocktail you want.
- Adrienne LiuFebruary 7, 2017If you wanna impress your date, bring him/her here and order the Earl Grey Martini. Actually you can order any cocktail and it will be fantastic
- DipsologySeptember 27, 2015One of the original craft cocktail bars to open in NYC, Pegu Club remains at the top of its game. Try the Earl Grey Mar-tea-ni or the Manhattan, served in a small carafe with 3 brandied cherries.
- LitSciFebruary 9, 2018Jazz and swing, dark and woody, signature cocktails like the Earl Grey MarTEAni, and delicious small bites like smoked trout deviled eggs. What could be better?
- DarrenFebruary 23, 2016I love this place . Very cozy and intimate during the week. Weekend nights will be crowded and a bit more noisy. It's a popular place so come early weekends and try their amazing drinks
- Ron C.October 18, 2013For something really refreshing. I recommend the Tomatillo Highball. It wakes you up with the flavors. So damn good!
- Drinks are very well executed, the small plates are really nice, and the ambience is perfect for hanging out with friends or doing business.
- Douglas EllimanJuly 10, 2014This dimly lit, comfortable and sophisticated spot is perfect for a quite cocktail in the SoHo/Village area. When we want something on the sweeter side we love ordering the Pineapple Pisco Sour.
- Ruchita PoddarNovember 5, 2016Amazing vibe and the drinks are to die for! Definitely try the Earl Grey Martini or the Firefly - absolutely delicious
- Fabienne AApril 6, 2014Drinks are uber delish, but avg pricey. Small sexy room. If you & guest spend $130+ on apps & drinks, don't let obnox waitstaff rush you out of a table (esp when lounge area is emptier than the bar)
- DrewskiMarch 9, 2017Kind of an awkward, in-between location but take advantage of the fact that it seems to be past its prime and enjoy a table to yourself and pretty reliably good cocktails.
- Raphael LangenscheidtFebruary 20, 2015Hidden in plain sight, this place combines great ambience with fantastic cocktails. Come early if you want a table, but definitely stop by for a drink. Absolutely worth a visit.
- Damon SununtnasukApril 21, 2017Good selection of spirits - enjoyed a Sipsmiths gin martini. Bartender was very nice and skilled. Overpriced, though - $20/ martini. Feels very lounge-y
- Joan ParkMarch 21, 2015great atmosphere to sit and chat over a delicious cocktail. order the pegu club cocktail for a strong kick or the pisco punch for something light & sweet.
- Go Sun-Thurs. Sit at bar if you can. If your 1st time, you must try a Gin-Gin Mule. If you think you don't love gin, this drink will convert you. Bartender's choice is a good way to go, otherwise.
- Alexis BendjouiaJuly 18, 2015Dim and romantic place for a drink. Great cocktails, good vibes, the cantaloupe and gin one was pretty delicious. $15
- Silver ArevaloAugust 26, 2010when you order a cocktail you can ask for their mixers (simple syrup, lime, lemon) that come in small bottles with droppers. you can customize your drink however you like it. best gin bar in NYC!
- Scott BFebruary 20, 2014Pegu is a sanctuary from the noise of the city; the cocktails are simply outstanding, and service is quite good, but sometimes slow when busy. Try the specials the 'mixologists' concoct.
- jessica m. hintermeisterAugust 16, 2013Kill Devil: rhum agricole (a French-controlled type of rum made w. sugar cane), green Chartreuse, bitters. The garnish: a liqueur-filled lime cup that the bartenders set aflame
- Christian D.April 10, 2017Nice atmosphere, soft music and creative drinks. Not the biggest barcard but the bartenders are able to help out :-)
- AmateurConciergeAugust 27, 2014Go all the way to the back and get a table by the window if you want some light. I always get the spicy tequila drink
- Men's Health MagNovember 10, 2011It’s a jazz joint with real palm trees and amazing cocktails, made by a legend in the mixed-drink world. It may look a little pretentious, but you can’t deny the truth: the drinks are good. That good.
- Elie KardousNovember 29, 2011Great cocktail lounge on Houston and West Broadway. Good intimate date spot. Their Aperol Sunset and the French Pearl are very tasty. Good spot to start at before you head out on the town.
- New York HabitatNovember 9, 2011It's hip, it's sexy, and it's got fantastic drinks. It's the quintessential SoHo cocktail bar (read: pricey) but it is a great place to stop in for a drink during a night out.
- HenaliFebruary 12, 2016just delicious! Definitely recommend asking the bartender to recommend something based on your preference :) You won't be disappointed
- Earl Grey Marteani IS really good! I personally like this place - not as crowded and has a huge selection of gin cocktails!
- Great asian decor and even better drinks. Get the whiskey smash or the gin-gin mule. Can't go wrong with the food too!
- Namitta ShankarSeptember 29, 2012Pretty awesome place and eclectic cocktails. Be prepared to wait for a generous amount of time if it's a weekend. Service too slow. Had a great time still. Pricey! $$$ (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- EvieFebruary 14, 2014All the drinks are incredible--though the Whiskey Smash was by far the best of the four that I had. Careful with the Pisco Punch!
- RisaSeptember 21, 2012Grub Street off-menu drink: Kill Devil. "Rhum agricole, green Chartreuse, and bitters. The garnish: a liqueur-filled lime cup that the bartenders set aflame for just a touch of tiki flair."

- Brendan LewisJune 28, 2014Cosy little Speakeasy above Houston Street without all the arrogance of "speakeasies"
- Juliet GreenblattOctober 17, 2014Swanky! Cocktails are terrific and mixologists really know their stuff. A bit pricey, but you're definitely getting what you pay for.
- Amy RJuly 28, 2013I come every time I'm in NYC because the cocktails are so good. Same quality/thoughtfulness that some of the big name spots have but not the pain to get to. Service however, is more than lacking.
- Nate SMay 2, 2013Drinks are top notch (believe the hype about the Whiskey Smash) but I cannot get past the tacky Asian decor. Go, enjoy the well-crafted cocktails, but close your eyes and pretend you're somewhere else
- Meg McNamaraAugust 10, 2014Cocktails were delicious and appropriately strong. Had a great time. Perfect for a date or small group of friends.
- Judy VincentAugust 30, 2013Lovely setting, great cocktails! The Old Cuban is particularly refreshing. My friends who didn't like gin had a hard time finding a drink, though.
- Christina ChinNovember 1, 2015Cocktails a lil pricey but prob normal for slightly nicer lounge which pegu is..dark interior but good for small parties or date..not crowded on sat night at 1030
- Nicholas BeckJuly 17, 2013Pegu squeezes all citrus juices by hand The bar also uses small batches of soda to keep flavors distinct and fresh. Try: Earl Grey MarTEAni tea-infused gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and egg whites.
- Davinci VirtualApril 12, 2011Looking to entertain at a classic speakeasy lounge? Stop by Pegu Club for one of the best cocktails in the City -- Earl Grey Martini. Tasteful light snacks are also served.
- A cocktail place that's good for a date or a large group of people.
- JamesJanuary 31, 2014Get yourself one of these bad boys: Earl Grey Martini. Tastes like a United Services Punch, never a bad thing, and certainly answers the question 'What did the British Empire ever do for us?'
