Absolutely out of world cocktails that are classy and flavorful. The ambience is classy and warm but not intimidating. It's a place for a small intimate group of friends or a nice date spot.

There is no other bar in the world where you can order so many modern classics at their source: GinGin Mule, Earl Gray MarTEAni and Old Cuban. —NYT

Super cozy old-school bar with incredible cocktails. I came here w/ a friend on a Sunday evening and would totally come back w/ a date or for any private conversation. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

Pricey but cool bar right on W Houston. Perfect for drinks after dinner or as the first stop on your night out. Definitely chat with the bartender about what type of cocktail you want.

One of the original craft cocktail bars to open in NYC, Pegu Club remains at the top of its game. Try the Earl Grey Mar-tea-ni or the Manhattan, served in a small carafe with 3 brandied cherries.

Jazz and swing, dark and woody, signature cocktails like the Earl Grey MarTEAni, and delicious small bites like smoked trout deviled eggs. What could be better?

I love this place . Very cozy and intimate during the week. Weekend nights will be crowded and a bit more noisy. It's a popular place so come early weekends and try their amazing drinks

For something really refreshing. I recommend the Tomatillo Highball. It wakes you up with the flavors. So damn good!

This dimly lit, comfortable and sophisticated spot is perfect for a quite cocktail in the SoHo/Village area. When we want something on the sweeter side we love ordering the Pineapple Pisco Sour.

Drinks are uber delish, but avg pricey. Small sexy room. If you & guest spend $130+ on apps & drinks, don't let obnox waitstaff rush you out of a table (esp when lounge area is emptier than the bar)

Kind of an awkward, in-between location but take advantage of the fact that it seems to be past its prime and enjoy a table to yourself and pretty reliably good cocktails.

Good selection of spirits - enjoyed a Sipsmiths gin martini. Bartender was very nice and skilled. Overpriced, though - $20/ martini. Feels very lounge-y

Go Sun-Thurs. Sit at bar if you can. If your 1st time, you must try a Gin-Gin Mule. If you think you don't love gin, this drink will convert you. Bartender's choice is a good way to go, otherwise.

when you order a cocktail you can ask for their mixers (simple syrup, lime, lemon) that come in small bottles with droppers. you can customize your drink however you like it. best gin bar in NYC!

Pegu is a sanctuary from the noise of the city; the cocktails are simply outstanding, and service is quite good, but sometimes slow when busy. Try the specials the 'mixologists' concoct.

It’s a jazz joint with real palm trees and amazing cocktails, made by a legend in the mixed-drink world. It may look a little pretentious, but you can’t deny the truth: the drinks are good. That good.

Get yourself one of these bad boys: Earl Grey Martini. Tastes like a United Services Punch, never a bad thing, and certainly answers the question 'What did the British Empire ever do for us?'
