Mifune is the epitome of noodle houses in the Bay Area. It's nearly impossible to go wrong with the huge selection of perfectly crafted bowls and flavorful dashi-based dipping sauces.

Amazing restaurant. The noodles are the best. The sushi isn't bad either. This place has a line but it moves fast.

They make their own ramen, soba, and udon. The cold soba, like the Tenzaru, is delicious.

6/17/16: shrimp tempura was not fresh (soft inside like I was in the fridge too long) bamboo in ramen was rubbery instead of crunchy or tender (old, not high quality). Very disappointing

The service is horrible. We waited for 20 minutes to be greeted. Plus the food is bland, I ordered the niku udon and didn't like it. I would suggest another restaurant, dining experience awful.

They only have beef or fish broth so, if you're a vegetarian, don't bother with the noodles. The vegetable tempura is ok.
