- Chantele BondJune 21, 2013Quick service, great portions. Mussels appetizer was GREAT. Fresh and filing. Basic beans and rice but the steak was delish. Also had the red snapper with seafood. Amazing. Give this place a try.
- HsiniJuly 10, 2012If you're a meat lover. Get the Grill cuts for 2 and it will suffice. The rib steak is so good and the white sausage is delicious too. The mussels apetizers were good and portions are huge!
- EvaJanuary 20, 2016Love Chimu, can't wait to go back for more steak. Grilled skirt steak with rice and beans is a must try. Chicken and steak empanadas are crack. Drinks are on point too.
- Carol EganDecember 15, 2012Lovely people, great music & cozy Atmosphere, delicious food, and one of the best sangrias we have ever had! We will be back with many friends! Thank you!
- Antonio del RioMarch 31, 2014The most authentic tasting Peruvian spot I've been to that's still open (La Mar took the crown). The Chupe and Jalea are on point here. Just wish they removed their bathroom scented air freshener.
- I've been coming here for 9 years hundreds of visits. The food is always amazing. The wait can be long but worth it. True Peruvian food for NYC tastes.
- Elly KNovember 5, 2011Lomo saltado is amazing. We also had the seafood ceviche and potatoes covered in cheese, really good too. Portions are huge and prices are really reasonable. Service is pretty slow and bad though
- Jose NYJanuary 27, 2015Their arroz chaufa is really good & authentic. The classic pisco is better than the flavored versions.
- Patrick WrightAugust 1, 2013If you have time to wait and just enjoy company, I can see the appeal. Service was lacking and it wasn't busy. Food was delicious and the wine selection is reasonably delicious.
- PhabiSeptember 14, 2012The Lombo Saltado is delicious, its a must! The sangria was really bad, stay away! The back of the restaurant is very quaint, its outside & the atmosphere is very nice
- LizOctober 7, 2016Paella was phenomenal. Best ceviche I've ever had (we had the pescado). Great casual but upbeat environment!
- Julie HahnMarch 27, 2011Perfect dinner here: fried calamari, skirt steak with basil spaghetti, sangria, tiramusu. It's completely worth the long (Saturday night) wait. The service is great too. I'm going back soon.
- Fantasic place! Great staff great atmosphere and fantastic food. At gem of a place highly recommended👌👍💓
- Eric LanehartApril 30, 2016ceviche mixto! have it in the backyard in the summer; go surf & turf and split it along with entraña
- Andrea PlaskoFebruary 16, 2015Ceviche is out of this world, amazing authentic Peruvian dishes, worth the wait if there is a line!
- Causa, Lomo Saltado, Tallarines Verdes, and the Tres Leches are all fantastic. Really can't go wrong here.
- Tilman BeneckeJuly 11, 2017Amazing food - best peruvian I had so far in NYC - friendly staff and casual location
- Angelica DelgadoSeptember 30, 2013I love the white sangria!!! I luv the pisco sour !!! I luv the mussels! I love Peruvian food !!! Que vive Peru!
- Anthony PopeoNovember 14, 2016Loud restaurant but the food and service are great! Worth waiting if you're looking for Peruvian.
- Karla SamanthaApril 29, 2012The service was fast and friendly. By far the best Peruvian food I've had in NYC. Had the Lomo saltado - recommend!
- Ryan DanielsApril 13, 2010Been here thrice now. Get the Tallarin Verde Con Bistec (its basil pasta with Spanish cheese and a grilled skirt steak). Its heavy as hell, you will be full. You will enjoy.
- Kristi EvansDecember 14, 2012Get the grilled skirt steak with a side of rice & beans. The empanadas are also boss.
- Valerie LaiFebruary 8, 2013Love the ceviche and sangria! Quality has gone down slightly since my first visit though.
- claire frisbieJuly 19, 2011Best Peruvian food in the city. Ceviche mixto and chupe de camarones are musts. Excellent pisco sours too!
- Charlie O'DonnellJuly 2, 2012Didn't love it. My friend said it used to be awesome but the food is pretty pedestrian and uninteresting. The staff is very friendly though...nice folks, but there are better food choices around.
- Henrik OscarssonMarch 24, 2013Peruvian quality food. Small, but always full, and cozy. Try the ceviche.
- Had the lobster paella (special). 7 types of meat in one dish. Amazing.
- My favorite restaurant in Williamsburg. You can't go wrong with ANYTHING off the menu.
- Miss RJune 3, 2012The jalea, and entraña are some of the best dishes. Don't forget the tres leches cake for dessert.
- MelissaFebruary 4, 2011Sangria...Yum! lobster paella...YUM! Ceviche...Ridonculous YUM! Aji sauce...out of the world! love this spot!
- SoundProviderApril 27, 2014Food is good, great flavor. In my opinion the ceviche is totally overpriced. Service is bad, should worry about improving points of service. Space is very small and when crowded uncomfortable.
- Harold CabezasAugust 23, 2011
- God PMay 3, 2010The bistec is good. The bistec tallarin (over pesto pasta) is ok.the pasat needs flavor (salt). Ask for chimichurri sauce on the side.
