Check the daily specials - the Hamachi Jalapeño gave me goosebumps. Add some Toro Nigiri, a Mission roll and wash it down with an Orion. Oh..leave room for dessert - Tempura Banana + Lychee Sorbet :)

Located on the quieter side of Mission, Kiji offers an expansive sake menu that pairs well with their creative rolls. Sit at the bar, watch chef at work, and enjoy your romantically lit fish.

Start w/ a Kiji Shooter or Kiji Tasting Spoons. All of the fish is fresh and delicious -- I love the chirashi box, which allows you to sample several kinds.

Japanese eggplant lovas, Vegetarian Caterpillar roll is out of this world. It's miso-glazed, thinly slice eggplant on top of a roll, enchanted by spring onion. It makes the world better.

Get the horse mackerel if it's on the menu; well-prepared raw mackerel that is later supplemented with the very delicious and crunchy cooked carcass.

Great sake list but salads were overpriced and underwhelming. Sushi was fresh and good quality. Rolls are kinda overpriced.

Upbeat music in a Japanese restaurant is NEVER a good sign. The hostess and waiter kept brushing up against us, the food was over seasoned, you can barely taste the fish. Will not be coming back.
