Now under new management, it is the Hell Gate Tiki Bar. Still has the same feel and great drinks.
Brad ReidMarch 23, 2012Was in town for a week and discovered this awesome little place. The staff is very friendly, and good looking (the females). They make it very like playing pictionary with chalk on the bar.

Thursday Open Mic is the most fun you'll have on a weekday in Astoria
Use a WLA card here if you have it. Regardless, their speciality cocktails are awesome. Try the Hellgate Lemonade.
Ask the bartender to make you something with Sriracha :-P
Puts on some great shows and I loved the summer outdoor movies. Always get lost on the way there though..

Derek LNovember 9, 2011Nice outside area. The door to Hell's gate Social looks like gym door in high school.
Carefull! It's easy to miss as the outside has no sign or windows. It's just a soli sheet of stainless steel.
