- Sandra CifoFebruary 13, 2016Delicious.I grew up in the Basque country eating all of these dishes so I am very picky. None of the things we ate was disappointing. The service was great! Calamari, Piperade, Swordfish and choc cake
- GusFebruary 13, 2016Excellent basque place to have authentic food! The swordfish with the onions+envidias+apples was spectacular! Good txakolina to pair with! I will come back for sure!
- Kimi ThorntonJune 4, 2013Nothing like the restaurant, but a fantastic hidden window to grab a delicious sandwich (portabello rocks) , salad (try the mr. williams), or snack on some macarons
- heatJuly 19, 2013Pre-made sandwiches and salads. The staff is always cheery, and the close proximity cannot be beat. I recommend the Mandarin Chicken Salad or Mr. Williams Sando.
- Salads are premade so the line moves fast (sandwiches take longer), but you can't customize them. Curry chicken salad has fruit which makes for an interesting texture.
- Kimi ThorntonJune 4, 2013Great for a business lunch or dinner for a nice, leisurely sit-down. The calamari is amazing.
- heatJuly 19, 2013The influence is Basque, but the preparation is in the familiar simple California way. If you’re looking for a place to get a quick glass of wine with Stoney, bring him here.
- Alex KimMarch 15, 2015Outdoor patio area is very pleasant. Wish they didn't push the check on our party after one round without asking if we were finished.
- Try the fried Manchego cheese and the ox tail for appetizers
- Mr Williams sando is amazing! The team is super friendly too !
- Adam ChristensenJanuary 12, 2012Try the Piquillo Peppers Stuffed W Goat Cheese, Pine Nuts & Golden Raisins - Great Basque food at Piperade in SF
- Get here early. Very popular so they run out of most things by 2.
- Chefs FeedAugust 22, 2014Emily Luchetti, chef of Farallon, eats here on her nights off. She loves the Terrine of warm sheep’s milk cheese. Read more
- in back of the restaurant on Icehouse St is a take-out window that serves to go items. The Cobb and Mandarin chicken salads are the best.
