Even if ASSSSCAT is sold out weeks in advance online, come a few hours early and buy a ticket to any of their other improv shows. Add your name to the wait list, you'll very likely get in to the show!

Great shows! Something different every time. - That's the nature of Improv. The Harold is an exciting format for Improv when done well. And lots of the teams do it well. You can't beat the price!

Some of the sketches are hit and miss, but always a good time. Sometimes you'll get some really funny (and semi-famous) comedians!

Cheap or free entertainment 7 nights a week. Always amazing. And the best parking situation I've encountered. There's always a spot on the street.

Get there 30-45 minutes before your show to sit in the front. It's quietly BYO so pop over to Oaks Gourmet for a beer to bring in.

If you want a show that will really make you laugh, do the Friday night improv musical at 11 p.m. If they can sing and improvise, you know they're good.

Wednesday night Cagematch is never predictable, always a blast. For $5, it almost feels like you're sneaking in. You might want to come 30-45 minutes ahead so you can get a good seat. Also, parking is

You really can't go wrong with the free Doug Loves Movies podcast tapings at 7:30 on Tuesday nights. Get in line early (usually starts forming around 5) and make an awesome name tag!

ASSSSCAT is free every Sunday. Get in line by 6:30 for a decent seat. Don't park at Gelson's, but pop in to get some alcohol to take in with you.

Parking is a BEAST. Plan at least an hour in advance. There's always the Bourgeois Pig for coffee or Birds for drinks and snacks right next door...or you could just catch an earlier show.

The Wedensday night Facebook show is my favorite. Monday night Harold teams are really funny. Thursday night Last Day of School and Convoy are so smart and funny.

Go to UCB Theater on Tuesday nights for Comedy Death-Ray, the best night of stand-up in LA, just $5. (Buy tickets on Fridays at noon. They sell out fast!)

Parking sucks, come 45 minutes ahead of showtime so you can find a space and get in line. Theater isn't well ventilated, on a crowded night you'll want to strip down to a t-shirt.
