    The MFA folks don't allow bike parking on the railings and poles around the campus. You'll find a bike rack hidden in the parking garage or you can store it at the coat check in the Beck Building.

    It's a fine fine arts museum. I look forward to seeing their massive Latin American Art collection which is currently not on view. Their movies program is awesome!

    Try to spend at least one whole morning/afternoon here. The collection is quite complete and the temporal expositions I guess they’re always a surprise. I’d get the membership if I lived in Houston!

    Go on a thursday - it’s free! Bit of a mixed bag of stuff, no real identity/theme but quality of the exhibits is v high. There are better museums in Europe (obviously) but pretty amazing for Houston.

    If you only have a couple of hours, spend them in the Audrey Jones Beck building. Antiquities and American art on 1st floor. Permanent collection of European art on 2nd floor.

    Parking lot across from museum fills quickly on weekends & other busy days. Park for free 2 blocks away at Glassell School (5101 Montrose). Bonus?- Cullen Sculpture Garden is on the two-block route.

    Special exhibitions that bring art pieces from around the world to Houston. The underground tunnel has a light panel that can be used for cool photograph effect.

    One thing Houston is known for is its diversity in Art, and Museum of Fine Arts is the spot where Diversity exists in Art World, Great Spacious Museum, love it when they have their Night Life there.

    As mentioned, here's "Walking Man" by Auguste Rodin on display at the Cullen Sculpture Garden. Admission is included, and it's just across Bissonnet St from the main Beck & Law gallery buildings.

    Save big bucks with the CityPass for 5 venues... The Cafe Express restaurant is a tasty part of the MFAH as well! Don't forget to walk the 'tunnel' between the two buildings :D
