- rogerallenwardApril 9, 2016Daichan is a true Los Angeles treasure. Their food is tasty, beautiful and filling. It's not your average sushi place, rather it's home style Japanese food. The décor is fun and service is excellent.
- Andy WangJanuary 9, 2017Love this super homey Japanese restaurant. Super friendly staff and the poke bowl is out of this world. Get the bowl with soba noodles for something amazing. Valet parking is free
- Padilla ClaraMarch 31, 2020I never miss out the opportunity to visit this place! Strong recommendation to this modern and stylish combination of restaurant and lounge bar, situated in the most beautiful street in central LA.
- Los AngelesOctober 29, 2013The daimyou chirashi ($19) is a party on a plate. There’s a mound of sesame sushi rice covered by a fan of tuna, salmon, snapper, yellowtail, squid, scallop, albacore, mackerel, unagi, and salmon roe.
- Connie ChiuMay 12, 2017Intriguing decor! Favorites: grilled octupus and tuna tataki. Didn't love the lomi lomi salmon (tasted like ceviche) or the catfish. Friendly service! Parking is $5 valet.
- Japanese soul with some Okinawan flair. We've been going for years. Love, love, love Daichan. The Poki bowls are delicious and the Saimin ramen is not to be missed. The real deal.
- Harriet BowersApril 1, 2020Amazing and affordable restaurant! You should come and visit here! The waiters and the waitresses they have would always treat you better than the other restaurant in town.
- Arnie PanameñoSeptember 16, 2017The Sukiyaki Bowl was delicious. I haven't been here in 4 years and it is just as great today as it was back then. 🔥
- #protip get the Kawachi Chicken+ask for it... DEEP-FRIED (cause that just makes EVERYTHING BETTER... #amiright?!?) over a tasty-ass (+optional) bed of hibiki seaweed rice ftMFW!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah
- Camellia SchinnerJanuary 13, 2016Your japanese mom's comfort food at a cozy and eclectic restaurant. Vegans can get udon with kombu broth, and much more. Just ask!
- Ian ZhaoMarch 23, 2016This place is full of ornaments and has a great Japanese vibe. Also the food is definitely with high quality
- Rod SmithAugust 19, 2022Very good Japanese restaurant in Studio City, small and intimate, get there early to avoid disappointment at lunchtime.
- JNETMarch 12, 2016Cozy and nice spot to have a poke bowl 😋. Come on the early side of lunch hour if you want to grab a table.
- Brandon HoangSeptember 28, 2016Taste as much as you can. You can pick anything off the menu and you can't go wrong. One of LAs best eats.
- Doug LexaSeptember 17, 2016Food was good, presentation excellent, ambiance very pleasant and the service wonderful. No further questions, your honor.
- If you have the option, GET the Hijiki Seaweed Rice. Its phenomenal and such a nice complement to your food (my fave dish is the Kawachi Chicken w/ it! ^_^)
- Order a ramune and demonstrate to amazed friend how to open it before eating the nabeyaki udon and ikura bowl.
- Cutest bathroom in Los Angeles (Chego in Palms/W.LA is a CLOSE 2nd :D)
- Chicken Katsu Don...soooooo good. just don't plan on needing to eat again that day
