Pool big and FREE. Lockers aren't big and you need your own padlock. There's a luggage storage at Allen st if you travel from/to airport but there are no indoor showers and only basic changing room.

I learned to swim here as a 5-year-old when we called it "Pitt St. Pool" and there were no yuppies in sight. NYC public pools are 1 of the many wonders of The City

They have the same rules as other city pools, but are much more strict – down to the BRAND of lock you use. However, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.

Lockers are to the left wall as you enter from the Houston and Pitt entrance.

The pool is gorgeous but the gym is uncomfortable. witnessed lots of cat calls. I was glad a staff member was there or I would not have felt safe.

The gym is spanking cheap, but if you spot someone with an illegal hand gun, you even get an extra $500 on top of that.
