- I'm tempted not to share and risk a packed class but the Tuesday night spin instructor is the bomb. She won't let you quit and you'll hate her for it during class but totally thank her for it after.
- Grab your towels and a plastic bag *before* your lunchtime workout. They tend to run out when it's busy and you don't want to be waiting around as you rush back to work.
- Mary SchuwerkSeptember 4, 2013Odd layout, but relatively clean. The water fountain near the UXF area will make you feel like a giant. Their tire I secretly wish to steal for a day and take to the Hills of Central Park-Who's in?!
- Try TruDog's Abs Class @6 & his Cardio Jam @6:30 on Wednesdays .. He's amazing! So worth the pain!
- SK Energy ShotsApril 7, 2012SK Energy Tip: Consistency is the key to achieving great fitness. Make a workout schedule and stick to it. Drinking Street King will give you the energy and motivation to get into the gym.
- Michael TuescaJanuary 26, 2015Not a bad gym, but not too impressed with strength training. You get better value at Blink or just step up to Equinox or some other local players like Boom.
- It's a pretty big gym, only gets crowded during the usual times. Good sized locker rooms, plenty of machines, but not enough ab machines.
- Angie's Tuesday spin classes (6pm & 7pm) are a must!! She's excellent! Greatest workout EVER!
- Large and practically empty. A nice alternative to the otherwise hectic midtown NYSC
- Has all the basics but only 1 of each. Convenience outweighs amenities at this NYSC location.
- The Tuesday night zumba class is great but call early yo reserve a spot.
- Make sure there's hot water before taking a shower. And what's with the constant shortage of towels? This location is going downhill fast.
- SK Energy ShotsApril 7, 2012SK Energy Tip: Crunches alone won’t help you lose belly fat. Concentrate on cardio (running, biking, or swimming) to lose fat. Stay in the fat burning zone longer with a SK before you start.
- Spin class on Wednesday at 12:15 is always a great time! Enthusiastic and motivating instructor that keeps the energy high!
- Lindsey FannelliJanuary 11, 2012Please shut your group fitness room door when classes are happening. It is insanely loud for other members!
- Tuesday spin at noon is awesome. Instructor kicked my but and 5 people dropped out. Thats how you can tell it's a good class!
- NYSC staff Devin (front desk personnel) always makes me welcomed as he greets me by my first name.
- Pretty on par with most other Nysc locations in NY.
- Yoga class on Tuesdays with Patrice is the best. 👯
- Oh and this gym isn't on Park Ave. Nor is it btwn 58th and 59th....it's on 59th, btwn Park and Madison...but Nysc website is all sorts of effed up
- I love that the guy at the front desk uses everyone's first name. Makes it feel so personal!
- Wednesday spin at 6 is awesome! Get ready to work hard and leave feeling great.
- Take Jack's spin class Monday or Thursday at 12:15. He's the best.
- Heavy renovations going on... Half the gym is roped off, find another gym until they're finished at the end of march
- Alejandro GuillenNovember 5, 2011Come early in the morning. Get to use the machines without he wait.
- Staff are friendly. Don't really understand why they purchased flatscreen tvs only to display the weather?! Could be more attentive in replacing paper towels....
- currently under construction. a bit chaotic at the moment. not all machines working.
- Michelle YuanJanuary 5, 2013It's so hard to cancel her. So many restrictions: cant cxl online/phone, must cxl at exact location you signed up at, managers not in, the "system is down". I'm paying 2x at equinox to avoid this BS.
- The women's hair dryers went out for weeks and no one replaced them...
- One of the worst locations I've been too. Spread out on too many floors and not a lot of cardio equipment.
- I see this location has gotten worse. Wtf is this grass training area now? Way to cram in more crap, nysc.
- No air conditioning by the treadmills and smells horrible!!!
