First time here and loved the experience. We order the Meat Lovers to try a little bit of everything and we high recommend. The staff is very attentive and the ambience is huge and super clean.
Of course the grill is great but I am in love with the eggsoup and sukiyakibibimbap! The scallops are great too. Pro tip: cook scallops first because they tend to stick to the grill.
My girlfriend and I came here after a long morning of getting registered for a class. They have amazing service, very attentive and the food was delicious. Definitely make it here for happy hour !
If you're vegan like me, you'll surprisingly have a bunch of options here. The food is amazing, and the fact that you cook it on a grill in front of you is very unique!
I had the Shogun meal here, which featured a variety of high quality meats for cooking on the grill. Always come with great company, as sharing is vital to the experience
This place is amazing! The meat is high quality and very tasty. We have been there several times with friends and every time is so good.I love their edamame and beef meet. The sake was also very good.
New menu item: Kim-cheese fries. Surprisingly yummy! I wasn't sure what to expect mixing cooked kimchi and melted cheese on top of French fries. $5 at happy hour
I like this location most. Authentic Japanese vibe and the window seat with shoji is a fantastic date! Miso in love is a good menu choice to share, and the cocktails are most friendly also.
Happy hour specials (Mondays are happy hour ALL DAY) are awesome and allow you to eat more bang for your buck. Come hungry... leave smelling like hot, smoky MEAT. Fun, cheap, and delicious!
strongly recommend this place. The food is visitamazing the draft beer too. Also the location is very convenient. If you are in the neighborhood this is a must place to !
The drinks were amazing (and 1/2 off at the bar) and the food was delicious. We did a group meal and there were so many courses/options! The service was great, too.
At first I thought it was a bit strange, the idea of a Japanese barbecue. But it is amazing, an excellent place to come with friends or for a romantic night.
Grilling at the table is a fun concept anywhere, but it's the view that does it here: all the midtown skyscrapers give this place a Blade Runner-like atmosphere.
They have lunch and dinnerhappy hour where the prices are much more likable. If your in a hurry during your lunch hour, make sure to let your waiter know, otherwise your food won't come out as fast.
Had a lot of fun cooking, though our dinner was interrupted by a fire alarm and the wait to be seated and reseated was quite long. Don't judge by the appearance outside, restaurant is much bigger.
This place is absurdly amazing. Go with a group and order their kobe beef combos for the best experience. Servers tip you on the best way to cook your meal and the Bibimbap is life altering.
Japanese take on Korean BBQ - the meat is high quality, everything is fresh. There's a good atmosphere & the booths are cozy and have a private feel. http://www.mecritic.com/places/place/6629/Gyu-Kaku
So delicious - get a mix of meats & veggies. There are many varying happy hour specials depending on the day. Cap the evening off with an order of s'mores. Nice window seating as well.
It can get noisy here so if you're looking to have a quietdinner go elsewhere. Otherwise the food is wonderful and there usually some form of entertainment with people and the grills.
We came without reservation and could enjoy the happy hour @ the bar, good deal! Smallest menu is great, actually too much. Just don't expect to be allowed to change an item, they refuse.
There's a waiter who works here named Ugo. He was my server the very first time I ate here, and he is the nicest server I have ever come across in my entire life. What a guy.
