- ℳ𝒶𝓎♍August 4, 2018Summer! Prospect Park! Concerts! Yeah! Live music at outdoor venues is one of my favorite things to do and the Celebrate Brooklyn shows do not disappoint. Absolutely love this venue!
- Dee PhunkJuly 9, 2017Line up this photo w/ the stage like The Goonies did on the beach w/ the medallion. If you rather sit on the hill w/ a blanket during a show, go about halfway up in this exact location. Perfect spot.
- Kayleigh HarringtonAugust 4, 2016Great venue. Bring a picnic and settle in early for a good spot. Alcohol can't be brought in but beer and wine can be purchased there.
- Time Out New YorkJuly 11, 2013Celebrate Brooklyn! at Prospect Park Bandshell gets our vote for best park-based music series by rocking not only a virtuosic and varied lineup of acts, but also mouth-watering local Brooklyn food. Read more
- thank you celebrate brooklyn and prospect park for one of my favorite places in all of ny! always a great summer line up and food from the farm on adderley. If show is free, go early for a seat
- The Corcoran GroupAugust 1, 2013The setting is amazing, especially on a nice summer night. Bring a blanket, some food and some friends, and grab a seat on the lawn. Make sure to come very early, as the line to get in can be crazy!
- Zayed KhanAugust 2, 2015Amazing spot, and great free shows. Seats are a nice idea, but if it's a popular act everyone will crowd near the stage, and you will probably have to give up your seat if you want to see anything.
- Fodor's TravelSeptember 9, 2015Look for silent film nights accompanied by innovative live music or spoken word performances. Pack a picnic or buy food from local, on-site vendors like the Farm on Adderley. Read more
- Arrive early to stake out a picnic spot on the lawn. Bring blankets, food, and whatever else you need to have a great night with music and friends.
- Fanny GAugust 12, 2014The space was good, loved the vibe and the sound, great god option too! Liked it better than Central Park concerts
- Danny ZlobinskyJuly 7, 2016Always easy to grab a spot on the grass next to the back of the actual venue to get a free seat for the show.
- Pack a picnic and arrive really early to snag a good blanket spot on the hill.
- Great music last night. Good food concession & great beers. I enjoyed a blanket on the lawn with friends, and then had no problem finding a seat to watch the main act.
- SheenaJune 19, 2016Bring your own food and alcohol as long as it's not in a glass container! Save $$ (though the food is quite good too). Also a blanket a must.
- If you can't snag a ticket for the paid benefit shows in the summer, grab a blanket + friends and chill outside the walls, you'll still be able to hear fine. Look out for dancing children.
- CharlottesAugust 24, 2016Love the summer series. Pack a picnic and arrive early to nab a spot on the grass up the back. Best seat in the house!
- Totally beats the pants off Rumsey Playfield in Central Park as an outdoor venue. Just wish there weren't so many seats up front. Some shows ya just gotta get off your tuchas!
- Time Out New YorkMay 30, 2013Thanks to Celebrate Brooklyn!, the Prospect Park Bandshell is to Brooklynites what Central Park SummerStage is to Manhattan residents—the place to hear great music in the great outdoors. Read more
- Daniel KronovetAugust 5, 2016If the concert is too pricey, join the rest of the millennials and sit on the nearby grass. You can still hear the band and the vibe is rad.
- Manny AvilesJuly 16, 2017Wow. I can't believe that this is free. The music is amazing. The park is gorgeous. . I'll be here every weekend.
- Fodor's TravelAugust 21, 2015Since its founding in 1979, more than 2,000 musical acts have have performed at the Prospect Park Bandshell, which draws 250,000 people each summer to watch.
- Marie AzcuetaJune 5, 2014Go early when gates open to avoid the line that extends outside of the park. Otherwise bring a blanket and snacks and lounge right outside of the event space, skipping said line.
- Jill CornellAugust 11, 2013Come early for a good seat. Or even better but a membership. Great benefits and you also get he warm fuzzies from supporting a great Brooklyn happening.
- Marc MayerJune 21, 2015Ridiculously good sound for an outdoor venue, and the weirdos who come out of the woodwork are as entertaining to watch as the acts on stage.
- Nikki M MascaliJuly 28, 2013This was such a great, beautiful venue to see a show (especially Robert Plant!)! So easy to get to, too.
- Use the free bike valet to store your bike & helmet during the show - enter at 11th Street & Prospect Park West.
- Markeisha GrantJune 5, 2014Get here at least an hour and a half in advance if you want to see the concerts. The lines get really crazy.
- Michael AnthonyOctober 10, 2016No need to come early to shows. Always seats and great food and drink selections.
- Stake out a spot stage right (house left) and you'll have groove space and short beer & bathroom lines all night.
- Sam RosenthalJune 10, 2013One of the coolest venues to see a show. Small enough to be personal, but outdoors!
- Lindsey RhoadesJuly 24, 2011Beautiful venue, great sound. The benefit shows are worth paying the extra cash to support the many free events they host all summer long.
- Park yourself near the intoxicating aroma of the fries sizzling away at The Farm on Adderley!
- The Wood Brothers were amazing. Plus, Aoife O'Donovan signed my CD! (swoon)
- Kevin McKennaJuly 24, 2012Wheelchair seating is behind all the people standing in front. Try ( legal ) ADA seating line of sight viewing!!!
- Pro tip: don't go into the festival, just sit behind the fence, enjoy the music and have a nice picnic
- Henry CaseyAugust 10, 2014Be prepared to deal with a lack of organization and a lot of snotty families. Headphones required while you wait.
- Bring a picnic and listen to great music outdoors all summer long. $3 donation suggested.
- Mike BloombergJune 4, 2013Welcome to Celebrate Brooklyn! The arts have never been stronger or more vibrant here in New York City: http://bit.ly/18LOcF6
- MichaelAugust 2, 2010Went to see Sonic Youth last Friday. They're still as mad as ever. Just with better equipment and better roadies than the old days. It was great. Only a few shows left.
- John HarringtonJune 11, 2011Don't be discouraged by the long line.. you'll get in. This is a great venue.. much better than Central Park SummerStage.
- Ben FortneyJune 17, 2016Try to get a seat around the sound booth. Acoustics get worse as you move left/right of the stage.
- Darryl McKinneyJune 4, 2014Celebrate Brooklyn is always a time for great fun and Prospect Park has so much to offer
- Get a friend pass for $50 - it lets you cut the long line all summer long!
