Pack a picnic and arrive really early to snag a good blanket spot on the hill.
Great music last night. Good food concession & great beers. I enjoyed a blanket on the lawn with friends, and then had no problem finding a seat to watch the main act.
SheenaJune 19, 2016Bring your own food and alcohol as long as it's not in a glass container! Save $$ (though the food is quite good too). Also a blanket a must.
If you can't snag a ticket for the paid benefit shows in the summer, grab a blanket + friends and chill outside the walls, you'll still be able to hear fine. Look out for dancing children.

Totally beats the pants off Rumsey Playfield in Central Park as an outdoor venue. Just wish there weren't so many seats up front. Stake out a spot stage right (house left) and you'll have groove space and short beer & bathroom lines all night.

Pro tip: don't go into the festival, just sit behind the fence, enjoy the music and have a nice picnic
