If you want a simple but delicious burger, Shake Shack is the best! You can preorder on the app so you don’t have to wait in a long line. You do need to be assertive for a table....seating is limited.

I've had the crinkle fries (w/ & w/o cheese), 'shroom burger, shack burger, shack stack, New York dog, chick 'n' burger, and coffee shake. I've never been disappointed or 'just satisfied.' All amazing

My #1 choice on the menu is the Shack Burger. The meat here tends to be a little on the saltier side compared to other burger joints (i.e. Five Guys), but is fresh and delicious.

Always packed. The secret is to order something that can be eaten while standing, with one hand. So cheese fries are right out.

Best burger in the city. The meat is so perfectly cooked, never overdone, and oh-so-fresh. Though I prefer the Madison Square location, you can eat inside at this location when the weather is bad.

Expensive. Better than TX location I first tried. Patty was beefy, juicy, charred. Fries were good; cheese sauce not so much. Shake was delicious and balanced in terms of sweetness and consistency.

I take back whatever disparaging remarks I've said about Shake Shack in the past. I just had a plain, medium rare burger. No ketchup, salt or bun. Just pickles. It was superb! Best beef in ages.

It wouldn’t be NYC if there wasn’t a Shake Shack around. Like every location, this one is crowded. Unlike every other location, you can walk a block and eat your burger in Central Park. Read more

The best burger I've tasted ever!!! Also great chocolate shake and fries!! (It was back in 2008, but I suppose they're still freakin' delicious!) The hour-plus wait in line was completely worth it!

Burgers look like an In-n-Out copy, but have a (delicious) flavor of their own. Busy, so send your companion to get a table while you place an order for both of you.

They have gluten free buns and took care to accommodate by notifying the kitchen staff and changing gloves. And the vanilla custard is GF too!

Cheese fries are AMAZING! The Smoke Shack burger is great, but I ordered without the cherry peppers (spicy). Caramel shake is good too!

My favorite shake shack location. Something feels more fresh and delicious. Good to come by after visiting the natural history museum.

The portion sizes are similar to Europe and this shouldn't deter you as the food quality and selection more then makes up for it..

Different location, same great burger. Good place to stop after checking out the Natural History Museum. As always, you've got to get the shack burger, a chocolate shake, and some cheese fries.

I absolutely love the Smoke Shack Burger. Get the cheese fries (to go) and they'll put the sauce on the side for dipping!

Great after a trip to the American Museum of Natural History. If it's a decent day out, take lunch to one of the benches around Columbus Ave.

Can't go wrong with a Shackburger, crinkle fries (THEY'RE BAAAACK!), and a beer! Save room for a shake or custard, obviously.

Don't let yourself be suckered into the In-n-Out vs Shake Shack debate! They are completely different types of burgers, and both are good. I recommend a Shack Burger if it's your first time.

Please be considerate of others and vacate tables when you are done especially if you are two people at one of the 3 tables for 6.

Their popular $6.40 shack burger packs a punch. Right across the street from the natural history museum so it's very convenient. So go shack it up.

Limited seating upstairs and downstairs (especially during peak hours) so try to avoid coming during lunchtime! Either way, always delicious--Shack Burger with fries = :) and the custard is amazing.

GRADUATION GRUB: There's a reason Shake Shack gets all the love it does for its perfect burgers, fries, and shakes. It may not be the classiest meal in town, but it will likely be the most satisfying.

It's only a special during certain times, but absolutely try the peanut butter & bacon burger if it's available (ask the staff). A word of warning though, you'll need a lot of napkins for this one!
