- Ashok LalwaniJune 21, 2015Hole in the wall place even selling pupusas on the street. Going in a group makes you try different ones like mushroom & garlic, Jalapeño. As tasty as pupusas are the cabbage slaw is also delicious.
- I end up here drunk after any good night out in the mission. The pupusa is the perfect drunk food that isn't as bloaty as a burrito. DO IT!! You won't!!
- Matthew JosephNovember 12, 2012I highly recommend "pupusas con loroco y queso" (pupusas with loroco flower and cheese). Don't be afraid; loroco "flower" is just a kind of green veggie--they pick the blossoms before they bloom.
- Lucero ViktoriaApril 14, 2015all the pupusas here are solid, but the mushroom and garlic one is a definite winner. don't forget the salad and sauce! you might be waiting a little while, but it'll be worth it.
- Greg PriceMarch 30, 2016Chipotle pupusas are the best. Also delicious: loroco, pork, beans. May be the best pupusas in the Mission.
- Alex DobyanApril 2, 2018Absolutely the most amazing pupusas of my life. Get one of the combos, you won't regret it (need a lil side of beans with these bad boys).
- Michelle LeeDecember 7, 2014Best one: mushroom & garlic for $3. Essential post-bar stop in the Mission.
- Jerel WalliserAugust 6, 2014Amazing for late night. Affordable and delicious. Spinach one is my favorite, but they all were good
- Alicia ZMarch 9, 2017Haven't had a pupusa I didn't like here. The curtido (cabbage salad) is also very yummy. Order a platter to get rice and beans added for a total of ~$7-8.
- AskMenJuly 30, 2010The Salvadorean papusas at the bare bones 16th Street location are the best in the Mission. A papusa is a thick corn tortilla stuffed with pork, cheese or beans, sounds great to us.
- Despina PapadopoulouJune 7, 2015Omg!Pupusas are amazing!Don't ask the lady how many would u need to get full! She will say 4 and 4 are too many!
- Cheap and tasty pupusas. Allow drinks from outside. Try the spinach one.
- Miwa Nagamitsu AhlstromFebruary 22, 2019Pupusa obvs but fried stuffed plantains are sooooooo good too!
- If you are there in the morning, get the desayuno típico. If late at night, the pupusa with loroco.
- JesukiNovember 20, 2010food was good, El salvadorian breakfast and pupusas are great... friendly staff but, service was terrible. "A" for effort.
- Practice your Spanish skills. Say the following: "Un plato de dos revueltas. Gracias." If you're adventurous, add the following: "Una Cerveza Tecate, tambien, por favor."
