- Gabriel HayesJuly 10, 2015One of the many reason I love Korea Town. Having not grown up on Korean food, it is so incredible having a delicious cafeteria style meal here in the same block as all the incredible sit-down places.
- LucieferNovember 9, 2014I love this place, it's like a Korean bodega. Self-serve buffet or selected pre-packaged food. Also sell beer and soju. Was able to stuff my face for 10$. I often crave their seafood stew. Droools.Upvoted Mar 16
- Cheap and fast korean food. Tofu stew for $3 is a steal! The buffet can be a hit or miss and can end up pricey if you pack a lot!
- I think their buffet is amazing and definitely worth the price! Love the spicy pork and chicken, and haven't really had anything bad there. If I had to pick one spot to try it all, it'd be here
- Amazing buffet of korean delicacies and comfort foods is by the pound, so just be careful of how much you take! Can't guarantee you'll like it, but take a tiny piece of acorn jelly just to say you did
- RachaelApril 28, 2019Cafeteria-style spot with a huge variety of food like fried rice, kimchi stew, and broiled mackerel. There’s also beer and soju, as well as plenty of tables where you can eat.
- Daniel MaliaFebruary 20, 2019Dinner buffet ends at 10 pm and the lunch one ends around 3. The kimchi fried rice is awesome and the prepackaged foods are cheap as chips.
- D CDecember 29, 2022When every other restaurant in Ktown has a line, Woorijip reliably delivers. I come here for quick meals when I’m in a hurry, or get to-go and eat in the park
- Kay TeoAugust 6, 2017Deli self-service buffet, 8.99/lb, is a good way to try a bit of everything Korean without paying a lot more for a restaurant in Korea Town for the banchan. Also have brown rice options for kimbap
- Great Korean food. Come for a quick meal. During happy hour (3-3:30pm, 11-11:30pm), the food is $3.99/lb instead of the usual $7.99/lb. The food selection rotates so visit often.
- Amy WuAugust 9, 2016Great value and options, as well as pre-packaged meal sets. The kimchi isn't the best... And rice is an extra $1. But it's casual, fast, and good for trying lots of types of Korean food!
- Authentic Korean food, pay by the pound buffet style - definitely have spent >$3 on a delicious lunch here
- I go to this place once or twice a week, probably heading there today. Always great premade meal options, need to try out the buffet.
- Lori LuoAugust 11, 2014A good place for a quick dinner. Come earlier to try their (priced by weight) buffet, but packaged warm and cold options are still available later in the evening.
- Favorite lunch spot in the area. Good prices, good homey Korean food. Don't forget to get a punch card! There's hot and cold buffet style and prepackaged entrees, soups, rolls, etc.
- If you're going for the buffet, be sure to go light on the cold appetizers save your plate for the hot meats at the end of the line.
- Cheap Lunchboxes and hot foods to eat in or take out. I would get one of the pre-made lunches to eat the next day. Pretty good with a decent price range from 5-7 dollars.
- Margot MazurOctober 15, 2014Vegans--dont pass this place up when in K Town. Veggie sushi clearly labeled. One dollar miso soup and brown rice? Yes please!
- KαÖωWɑäηOctober 13, 2014Good food and reasonable price...Tofu soup was pretty good, kimbap and spicy chicken were fine but fried octopus was greasy and mushy. Honey rice ball with sesame was delicious!
- EvanApril 24, 2013Definitely a steal for what you get. I like to mix & match the small cold dishes like kimchi, pickled vegetables, etc and make it a meal. Light, spicy, and refreshing on a hot day in Koreatown.
- This place is surrounded by expensive (but yummy) Korean BBQ joints. Never had Korean before? This is a great place to experiment. Fish cake and seaweed soups, rice cakes, kimbap, everything!
- Julia KaplanNovember 12, 2017Great pre-packaged meals make this a fantastic (and fast) lunch option. The kimchi fried rice with egg is so good and you can grab a miso soup for $1.
- Pretty darn cheap for the pre-made meals. Awesome adult cafeteria in a sense because, booze with your buddies!
- Great for a quick, affordable lunch in Ktown - but the real Jedi move is to come at night, chug some soju for the pregame, and hit the road!
- Love this place for food to go, esp the prepackage food. Affordable and good. Gets crowded at night. They stop doing the stamps for rewards ☹
- Markus TarjamoDecember 8, 2015Affordable Korean food, serves alcohol, nice spot of a casual meal or for dinner with friends. A KoreaTown favorite for many.
- Anika KingApril 7, 2013Chap chae, chap chae, kimchi, pickled radish. Come in and grab inexpensive tasty food or stay for the buffet (check times as it opens up in the evening). Love this spot!!!
- Lily ZJanuary 20, 2015Try to balance the succulent spicy dishes with flavor-neutral carbs (tofu, veggie pancakes) — applies in general for Asian food
- The Corcoran GroupJanuary 7, 2011Great for a quick lunch or those on a budget – get anything from the buffet line or try their pre-packaged food. They also sell Korean Beer and Soju!
- Just imagine an assortment of your favorite Korean dishes all for less than $10 bucks. Kimchi pancakes, bulgolgi, bimbimbap, kimchi, pork knuckles, japchae, fried chicken, go crazy.
- Angie KimSeptember 30, 2013If you want cheap, decent korean food with a variety of menus to choose from, woorijip is the place to go. It's not a formal restaurant or anything so if you want sth like that, this isn't your pick
- Towards the back, pick up a few of the korean style steamed egg at only $2.50 a piece. Complete the meal with some veggies. Great post-workout choice and value for money!
- $7 for an awesome veggie bibim bap + soup? Yes please! The buffet is also way solid, but a far too easy way to overspend / -eat for people with poor self control like me.
- Angelina BeeJanuary 20, 2013Veg kimbap is cheap and portions are generous. Great alternative to expensive Japanese sushi. Friendly employees and informal atmosphere make this a lunch/ dinner/ snack time staple, IMO.
- Chrissy NickelNovember 30, 2014My first Korean restaurant-the buffet is great for a beginner to the cuisine and is conveniently available as take out or cafeteria style
- Sam GrundmanApril 17, 2013I love 쇠고기김밥 (Sogogi [Beef] Gimbap). There aren't many quick Korean restaurants in America that serve such a little, easy dish. Please don't confuse gimbap with sushi!
- HelenAugust 8, 2014Good food for the price. Cheaper drinks than other locations in Ktown so many go here for a more casual, late night get together (opposed to a bar/club scene).
- What's Good HereAugust 11, 2014Good hot/cold buffet for trying out a selection Korean specialties. Grab a seat by the window and enjoy your bulgoki with rice.
- Pay with cash for 8% disc. Min$10 for credit card.good to go kfood at reasonable price.
- OliApril 14, 2017Not as cheap as it used to be. Look for a 50% off basket near the check-out counter. And ask for a loyalty card. You get a stamp for each $5 spent and can redeem the cards for food.
- Kathy MatthiesenJune 7, 2016Great for a quick meal! They have a serve yourself food bar in addition to pre packaged meals and sides. Decent amount of seating inside
- Three thumbs up. The buffet blows my mind with both affordability and taste. Massive bonus points for clearly marked vegetarian items!
- Terrific place. Fresh, delicious, affordable and convenient. And you can even find healthy options too. Salad bar if you want to sample, plus cold and hot meals that tend to come with rice and/or soup
- JulieAugust 14, 2015Best place in NYC for the value. Pay by weight, but it's cheap and delicious. Fast service but not a lot of seating.
- TastyMontrealSeptember 16, 2012Woorijip is actually a very inexpensive place where you can have a Korean meal for $4-7, offering a variety of Korean menus. Read more
- Love love love love love 💚💛❤️💙💜 this place has an awesome vibe and very yummy food. Also the rice wine drinks are fun
- Cheap, delicious and fresh Korean "fast food"! Everything is delicious! Pre-packaged food is great for those on a budget!
- Daniel OrsJuly 14, 2013Best Korean in New York! Make sure you try the kimchi pancakes, they're to die for. The soju selection is great as well.
- lookytasty.comMarch 21, 2011Great place for fast, inexpensive and tasty Korean food! There's buffet bar by the pound and also prepackaged hot/cold foods to choose from. Yummy kimbap and pancakes! Opened late too!
