- KinoJuly 28, 2016The Squid Ink Pasta here is one of the most delicious dishes I have had in Astoria. The $30 Happy Hour (Mon-Fri 5-8pm) Meat & Cheese Plate with a bottle of red or white wine from the tap is a steal.
- Chris BlastingJuly 20, 2015Staff is SO friendly and the food is so fresh and delicious. The wines on tap are good and they will let you sample any of them. Also the hype behind the sweet baby Jesus cake is 100% accurate
- Intelligensius AnarchusMay 10, 2014Perfect place to eat when visiting Socrates Park & Noguchi Museum. Fantastic pizzas (Hangover & Kale), dessert (torta del Gesu Cristo), friendly service & a wifi - overall satisfaction :-)
- Excellent farm-to-table Italian fare and the perfect neighborhood restaurant in Astoria. The hangover pizza is great for brunch, but no matter when you come, save room for the Baby Jesus cake. Divine.
- AFAR MediaAugust 12, 2014They call it the hangover pizza...potato, pancetta, sausage, and eggs sunny side up - it's everything you need to get your head on straight after a night out on the town. Read more
- Ashamed to say I've known about this place for years, but never made it down. Best margherita (and pizza in general) in Astoria. Also get the Baby Jesus Cake with a scoop of the same flavor ice cream!
- Sheila Mimi GabeApril 2, 2016Place has a nice atmosphere. Our server was very accommodating and pleasant. I enjoyed their kale pizza and wine. Although their cabernet was pricy, i think my company enjoyed it nonetheless.
- Chad OrrApril 7, 2017This a great place for dinner. It's very cozy and a great place to relax and have a great meal. They don't have a ton of choices, but everything on the menu is delicious!!!
- Caitlin GarlowJanuary 3, 2020Baby Jesus cake is amazing, so is the wine on tap, and all the pastas. We come in every few months and I’m never disappointed. Cute vibe too!
- Cozy and romantic spot in the neighborhood. Great value- the menu is always rotating because it's seasonal.
- 2Plus2NYCReviewAugust 29, 2011I absolutely adore this place… it is delicious, rustic Italian and takes me back to being in a little trattoria in the backstreets of Siena. I love the local selections of both food and wine, Read more
- Christina C.January 13, 2013Meatballs are totally worth it. The lasagna & cavatappi were both delicious. Leave room for the baby Jesus. It looks simple but tastes awesome. This place is great!
- This place gets better each time. A small, no longer hidden gem. There's always a reason to come for brunch - pancakes, l'italiano, hangover pizza. Service treats regulars as family.
- Keenan HellerOctober 6, 2023Never had a bad time here! Such a fun spot.. great music and the vibes / people are always fantastic! David is awesome!
- Rory ParnessFebruary 7, 2016Sea bass, crunchy skin and flavorful inside. Finish off with the Baby Jesus. Man it's good
- Class act all the way. Hands down best restaurant in NY! Always impressed and always feel the love. Amazing food, superb owners and employees, and beautiful ambiance. Just say YES!
- The house Red on tap is awesome. A little funky (a good thing) and smooth. Also kind of a bargain for $7.
- Michael MarrsApril 22, 2013I just felt like my mother made this food. Get the meatballs starter and the chicken sausage pizza!! First time customers who are def coming back.
- M FMay 20, 2013The hangover pizza is amazing! Eat if you're sharing with friends (or else you'll be taking home 3/4 of a pizza). 🍕
- Love this place! Fabulous chef wonderful menu...David, the manager he knows his stuff about wine.
- Eugene NamAugust 3, 2012Great Italian restaurant hidden in Astoria. Recommend the Summer Salad, Lasagna, and Orecchiette. And end the meal with the Baby Jesus cake.
- refinery29August 3, 2014Bonus points for the $2.50 "shots" of wine that let you taste a few before you settle on the perfect pairing. Read more
- Michelle CalabrettaJune 24, 2010no matter what it takes to get here, do it. the menu is fresh yet hearty, and sources local produce. Prices are cheap and owner is a sweetheart. We stayed well past closing and he gave us free dessert
- Arminda Guillama-RodriguezAugust 25, 2011Fresh, home made Italian food with wine on TAP! Pastas are all great, but the pizzas are really where it's at. Thin, crispy and great ingredients.
- amNewYorkOctober 3, 2011Inspired by Italy and the local greenmarket, here, the emphasis is entirely on local: the produce comes from the Brooklyn Grange, and the walls are a gallery for local artists. Come for the wine tap.
- debzDecember 26, 2013when given the choice between a tasting menu or a la carte items, always go for the a la carte.
- Ash LPAugust 24, 2014Always a great selection of wines and food. I've never gone wrong with anything on the menu ever.
- The Rib-eye was amongst the best I've ever had. Truffle-potato pizza, slow braised meatballs & hangover pizza. Pretty much can't go wrong. They know how to do it right here.
- AyshaJuly 14, 2014Ridiculously small menu (for dinner). The wine on tap is pretty cool. My family and I all got cramps afterwards though...
- Caridad CruzApril 18, 2013The potato pizza is beyond amazing. The staff is very attentive and nice. I'll be going back many times.
- Mussels app was phenomenal and kale pizza, simply outstanding, not to mention the cavatelli mmmmm
- if you like REAL italian food, steer clear of their lasagna. everything else there is prepared to perfection and they use local organic ingredients.
- MariannaApril 7, 2010Leave Manhattan for the best Italian in the boroughs. Share the "Quacker" pizza with duck, the award winning braised meatballs, and the signature Baby Jesus cake.
- Unlike any other place in the neighborhood. Great locally sourced food, local wine from the barrel, great staff. Can't recommend it enough.
- Erica MartiranoNovember 7, 2010This place makes me miss Astoria...I've never had a bad meal here, the wines are all amazing and the service top-notch!
- Colby LehmanJuly 10, 2012The lasagna 6 hour meat ragu is probably the best I have had in a long time!
- Brian BallanAugust 17, 2011I haven't been yet, but I will order entrees as appetizers and apps for entrees. but, dessert before all of that.
- Martin DoudoroffNovember 3, 2015Lasagna, pizza, pasta, Brussel sprouts and baby Jesus cake. And wine.
