- Sarah DeBerryAugust 12, 2015I had a scramble special with ground beef, spinach, cherry tomatoes, & cheese; sliced potatoes, and a biscuit-it was all savoury and amazing!
- Sam LeeOctober 10, 2015If you are curious what chicken hash looks like (as I was the first time I visited SF) here it is. Confirm it is delicious and also accompanied by a fresh biscuit the size of your head.
- Luis OlveraFebruary 2, 2016I think the food is pretty average as well as the service. What is really worth it is the freshly baked bread with the homemade jam, really delish. Their fresh oj and ginger drink is also very good.
- R WilliamsMarch 20, 2016Chicken hash is like Grandma's Thanksgiving dressing, yummy stuff. Sausage patties are great. Very kid friendly with adjustable portion sizes. Coffee is excellent. Worth the wait.
- Ricky SherrillSeptember 4, 2016Be sure to order extra bread & biscuits because you can not get enough. Also get an order of the chicken hash for the table. Everyone will thank you later.
- 7x7 MagazineNovember 1, 2012The eggs benedict comes and goes here, but when it is on the menu, we suggest you order three. The biscuits are soft and flaky, while the dish as a whole has a pesto flair, accented with prosciutto. Read more
- SF Don NamesteAugust 22, 2015Lot on the plate for breakfast. Little secret is the delicious burgers during week days only. Can get crowded on weekends. Good value, quality ingredients for price.
- Justin WebsterJanuary 24, 2015Showed up for lunch but the kitchen was kind enough to let us order from the breakfast menu still. The Scramble and the Chicken Hash were great!
- The pancakes & toast are awesome. Personally for my money I'd rather walk 3-blocks up the street to MAGIC FLUTE FOR CHICKEN HASH. M.Flute has much better flavor and presentation.
- Pacific UnionSeptember 27, 2012Get there as soon as they open or after 1 p.m. to avoid the lines. We love the chicken hash and the pancakes (please bring back the peach and sour cream ones!).
- Try something off the beaten path and go with the open face omelette with salmon. Always make sure to ask for your potatoes extra crispy too!
- DanielaDecember 15, 2019This place is wonderful! The best sticky buns and pancakes ever! And service is very friendly. Go there!
- Daniel YooJune 16, 2018Everything is amazing here. Breakfast sandwich is my go to. Special pancakes are usually great.
- great veggie options. try their home made muffins/bisquets. local coffee by mr. espresso beans.
- It may be the best breakfast spot in the neighborhood. Weekday mornings are the best time to visit--weekends get crowded.
- Aly OradyDecember 28, 2014Chicken hash is super good. I'll usually go early morning on a weekday - no wait.
- CHICKEN HASH. SO GOOD. Long waits on the weekends unless you go early.
- If you get a biscuit w/ your eggs and country sausage, you can make a sausage biscuit for later
- Joshua SchermanAugust 11, 2012Great breakfast spot if you can tolerate the looong wait and not great service. Highly recommend the Chicken Hash!
- Buttermilk biscuits ftw. Also you can buy the pancakes individually instead of the full stack (which can sometimes be overwhelming).
- amelieAugust 23, 2014The buttermilk banana pancakes are thick and fluffy with chunky slices of bananas inside
- Downward slide in recent years, but Chicken Hash is still solid.
- Natalie MJune 1, 2015Get the Ella's plate and make sure you savor the chicken hash!! The coffee is super super good too!
- Can't go wrong with any of the food here, especially the scrambles. Blood orange juice is amazing in season. And the freshly baked breads? Oh my yum.
- Erik KriessmannMarch 13, 2016Food is pretty good. Small portions, never understood why places ration things like a side of potatoes instead of filling up the plate. The tables and chairs are also very small and uncomfortable.
- Cece XieJanuary 1, 2014Potato scramble and fresh squeezed orange juice! Chicken hash was fine but overhyped.
- Justine HouserOctober 9, 2011If they have their seasonal sweet potato pancakes, they are a must have!
- Tim PerzykMay 4, 2013I have no clue how this is on any best-of list. The coffee is water, greens and fruit are scarce, and service is poor. Had an omelette arrive uncooked. Worst breakfast I've had in San Francisco.
- anamitra BanerjiAugust 21, 2011Next time I'm going to order the chicken hash, better than the sausage.
