Secret window is usually faster. Ask for a cortado (not on menu) but it's espresso cut with milk, a lighter latte. Grab your drink and head out to the pier for a view of the Bay Bridge.

Blue Bottle is a well-known name in the Bay Area coffee scene—their Ferry Building location is a takeaway-only spot, with homemade liege waffles and side window to cut the longer, tourist-filled line.

Shakerato with oat milk, affogato, and New Orleans-style iced coffee are my fave here. Pastries like the waffle are pretty good also.

Cold brew and waffle is 💰. There are three windows now (including one outside), so queue wherever the line is shortest.

This location is more of pop-up shop than anything tucked inside the Ferry Building, but the New Orleans Iced Coffee I had was nonetheless wonderful.
You should definitely try the ice cream with coffee., if you're a coffee lover, you'll be addicted to this place!

Best espresso with a side of sparkling water. Morning got off to a great start. Opens at 7am weekdays.

One of the best pour over drip coffee. It takes a few minutes to prepare but well worth it.

There's something to be said about using full fat milk in lattes. It's "delicious". If you're worried about calories go for a walk on the Embarcadero. Gorgeous.

Try their Cappuccino to "have in" Much better than the takeaway version and perfect temperature! Best coffee in town.

Tim DreesJuly 22, 2010I tried the latte and the iced coffee. Both were great, but the iced was a little harsh and citrusy. The latte was smooth and caramelly, completely perfect. If I go again I'll get the latte.
Shorter line around the corner. And if you see me, you should be saving me a spot in shorter line :)
